Hi all,
I’m planning to get open-water certified soon and would love to get advice on where and with whom to train. I’ll be in Hawai‘i first, then spending several months abroad (Europe, SE Asia, Central America).
Some divers suggested looking beyond PADI — into BSAC, CMAS, or TDI/ANDP — but I’m not sure how those compare for someone brand new. My goals are to build a solid foundation, dive safely, and eventually work up to advanced or rescue certification.
Would love your take on which route is best for a traveling diver!
