I’m doing a major reset on my travel plans and heading to Roatan, Utila, or Costa Rica in early December instead of Hawaii.
The goal is to get Open Water certified and scout the area as a potential base for a few months of remote work.
Since I'm traveling solo, I'm looking for a shop that strikes a balance—I don't want a party hostel, but I also don't want to be isolated at a couples-only resort. I'd love to find a place with a good community vibe where it's easy to meet other divers.
Any tips on shops or specific areas (West End vs. Coco?) that are good for a solo 30-something in December?
