fully accredited through the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society providing 8 category 1 CME credits for Doctors and allied health professionals. Non medical participants will amass a greater understanding of decompression sickness, cold water and tropical water pitfalls, exposure injuries, marine microorganisms, gas expansion injuries, oxygen toxicity, narcosis, venom and stings Participation for non medical participants is optional but Dr Rose's conversational and engaging format makes this a highly desirable way to spend part of your surface interval after diving.

Pricing: Starting at $3425 boat + 796 fees* = $4221 cash price d/o for 3 dives a day (includes a $1000 disc) all meals and snacks, 6 beverages daily, 1 snorkel dive with 'El Nino' the saltwater crocodile plus fully included Diving Medicine Courses taught by Dr Gary Rose providing 8 category 1 CME credits if a doctor or allied health professional or invaluable diving related information for non medical participants.
*fees include conservation fees, port fees, and fuel surcharge at time of trip opening
The OPTIONAL HAVANA ADD ON will be contingent on a number of factors which many are settling out as we speak. We are in close contact with numerous parties involved in Cuba and will roll this out as soon as we can. For budgeting purposes assume $1800 for the add on of approx 4 nights 3 days. The add on will include tours, several unique 'eating ops' and a chance to buy handmade Cuban items including cigars from the locals but not via the govt. We also plan to distribute OTC medicines, life supplies, school supplies and very very small toys to families in need. Stay tuned as we finalize the details
Airfare: Assume approx $450-$700 round trip depending on where you are flying from and to which Cuban city. NOTE: You will fly in and out of Camaguey if only doing the boat and into Camaguey and out of Havana if doing the optional add on. We strongly recommend you fly with the group in and out of Miami, Fl. Miami is most accustomed to the paperwork needed, efficiently and easily processes you in and out of Cuba, and you'll be with the group leaders should any questions arise. More in the full trip details and once group flights have been chosen.
Pre-Trip Hotels: We will book anyone who wants a pre-trip hotel stay typically of 1-2 days to ensure you do not miss the boat. Trip insurance is very hard to get from Cuba so if you miss the boat... you may miss the trip. Arriving 1-2 days prior will help ensure this does not happen. Because we will be supporting the Cuban people we need to carefully choose accommodations that meet our needs, allow for inter-cultural exchange but also meet the legal requirements of the programs allowing us to travel to Cuba. For this reason we will book ALL pre-trip hotels.
Transfers: Transfers from Camaguey are about 1.5hrs away from the boat. Transfers from Havana are a 6 hr. drive from the boat. The airport transfers to the BOAT are NOT included and are separate depending on the city you fly in and out of and how many are joining you.
Other Interesting Stuff: Besides excellent diving, amazing cultural experiences, a chance to learn about 'all things diving medical' from a wonderful doctor... Cuba has been surreal every time I've gone and life changing. Its hard to describe but it has indelibly marked my soul forever!

This is NOT a vacation trip to Cuba. This is special envoy to enable the people of the US to interact one on one to support and help the people of Cuba. In addition to the CME being offered you will receive marine education, cultural education and humanitarian education BEFORE, DURING , & AFTER the trip. "Vacations" in Cuba are NOT allowed under the OFAC Licenses prevailing at this time. What's an OFAC license?
