Well 666 has come and gone....thank goodness!!! but here's a really important message:


As much we hope that NOTHING bad happens to us while on a dive trip...it is so important...no make that IMPERATIVE that you plan for the worst. So having said that two important reminders come to mind:

1. You all should consider buying trip insurance for pennies on the dollar for this trip. At an average of $1500 or more per person, $50-70 dollars is nothing but it will buy you peace of mind AND a 100% refund if your luggage is lost and you can't dive....you miss a plane and miss a day or more of diving....you get sick at the last minute and have to cancel the entire trip....you have a non-diving related accident while on the trip that prevents you from completing your dives. You have a diving related accident and have to cancel the rest of your dives etc. etc. etc. (Yes we offer a very inexpensive but very comprehensive policy which I'll post full details in a separate post for you all.)

2. You MUST have DAN or equivelent insurance in the event that you have a diving related accident. For $50-99 a year its the BEST insurance policy that you can buy. Personally I prefer DAN but I will accept other forms from other sources just as long as it is similar or better coverage.

NOTE: In the past I have always required DAN insurance on my NC trips especially since DAN is located in the Raleigh/Durham area and so would be the closest chamber if you had a problem diving the GraveYard of the Atlantic. However I left it optional the last several trips that I've done outside of NC but now I have once again gone back to my former policy of requiring it for ANY dive trip I lead including ALL SingleDivers.com trips.

augh...financial woes with my a/c in said stupid duct tape car. if bonaire isn't full (which i expect it to be soon), when will you close it?

nevermind...sorry i'm officially out. have to make it to a later trip. financial advisor...aka big bro...consulted me against the trip. d***, so excited...and now just not. :dltears: no biggie...i'll go next time.

You would've had a blast....we have some awesome gals on the trip so far but the West coast is WELL represented!! Calling all middle and East coast gals...where are you???

Hey just got a call from Wisconsin Girl.....woohoo!! She is trying to see if she can make it!!! A friend of mine from NY is 'almost' there....and Dejah is still trying to make it!!

Hey Dejah...see if you can get LadyJane from the Jan trip to join you for fun in the sun in Bonaire???

And speaking of people trying to make it....Zendiver is trying to get the time off and he is trying to recruit a friend of his who divemaster's with him to come along too...oh yes the best part....his friend is a great gal who's super fun to be around!

And I think Marc from the Jan trip (yes we had 3 Mark's on the trip...every blondes dream...call one name and most of the men answer!) Anyway I think he is planning to join us too!

Ah, Wreck Wench... another great trip I can't make! Heard you're thinking of Caleeefornia (to quote the Governator)... Catalina, Channel Islands. Now that trip I would be happy to join or help plan. Of course knowing my luck so far, it will fall at a time when I'm in the Sea of Cortez, Belize or Honduras.
