Someone better check to see if my favorite beach bar "Paradise" survived! It was on the south corner of the island. If so, buy a drink for me! :birthday:

Recon. Now that's something I can still do.

It's the damn raids that press the old back!!!!!

We may need a designated driver on this one.

By the way, who are the military (X-Military) people on this trip?

Flight Departure Info DFW: Ryan Air's aka Adventure Tours desk is between gates 32 & 34 and they give you the departure gate when you get there and check in, but it will most likely be gate #35.

NOTE: The gate can range between 27-39 in Terminal B.

WW:

Since you are awake, any direct information from Cozumel (Casa Del Mar or Aquatics)?

I'm ready for some 82 degree water for sure. The stock trading has already paid for the trip this week.

Transfers:

Ok gang...still no direct information but all indirect sources say all is well and that parts of the island have lost communications.

SO.....

for anyone NOT flying to Mexico from Dallas.....here is what you need to do with respect to transfers:

1. I can not get your transfer confirmation numbers, so hail a taxi and have them take you to Casa Del Mar.
2. Get a receipt if possible or just tell me the amount and I'll reimburse you for the taxi.
3. You should be able to use the transfer back to the airport when we return since I can verify them once on island.

I think I have everyone's flight information but if you haven't sent it to me then please do. If you have sent then I have it! Thanks! kamala

Insurance:

It seems a good storm will do wonders for getting trip insurance. Please do read the fine print as to what is an allowable claim on the policy. I recall choosing this vendor because they were the most liberal in terms of what they allowed however a number of factors are excluded.

We have NEVER had anyone have to make a claim before so PLEASE contact me if you need to make a claim so that I can work with you on it ensuring that SD.com and the 3rd party travel agency we booked the trip via does their part. I will be your laison with this process.

I think several of you bought the trip insurance on the 17th or later and it seems that CSA has issued a notice that they will not cover storm related cancellations if you bought the insurance on the 17th or later.

Should you need to make a claim...here is the documentation that you must supply to support your claim:

Click here for information needed to make a claim.

Not everything is covered under this policy and some reasons for cancellation are not allowed. Here is a summary of what is covered and what is not:

Again please let me know if I can assist you in anyway. Kamala

What Insurance Claims?

Kamala. Your the leader. So, we'll be expecting you to row that dugout with us on a tow line to the dive spots. Cancellation? Not hardly. I already have one foot in the door.

Where are you doing the dancing lessons for everybody? Beach, Carlos, Senior Frogs? You'll be worn out with 6 guys and no obligation on Que's part to help.

Time to Get'r Done. Hooches on the beach if the hotel is broken.

What Insurance Claims?

Most of you have bought CSA's Travel/Trip Insurance. Should you need to file a claim on that policy you will need to file an insurance claim. The link is to the information needed that you must supply to submit that claim. There is also a link to the forms on the site as well.

In the event that someone becomes unexpectedly ill for example or has a cancelled flight and therefore can't get to Cozumel for 1-2+ days then you would file a claim for the extra costs to change flights and also for your lost diving and hotel charges. Without trip insurance you would eat those charges yourself.

My post was merely to ensure that you were aware of what was needed or expected in the unlikely event that you had to make a claim against this insurance.

Sounds like I better make sure our dives are in the afternoon so we have plenity of time to recover from all our uh...dance lessons! :o

As for where...we'll find LOTS of places!! No worries there! -ww

Kamala;
Is 90 minutes before flight early enough or too early to arrive at the airport. I'm arranging my shuttle from the hotel to the airport so I need to let them know when to pick me up.
Thanks
Doug
