Well as far as liveaboards go this was a very good one. The food was very good and the crew although a little uptight were fairly accomadating. I know they were trying to make things run smooth with there rules and it's tough when people are slow to get off the boat and then stay down to long or come up with almost empty tanks. I did my best to keep my dives to an hour although since I was usually one of the first ones in I had no problem stretching out a few dives to 70 mins. After spending 8 weeks in the Pacific it was nice to dive again in the Caribbean. I thought I'd be spoiled but the reefs were very nice at Saba and Statia as well as St. Kitts. I also saw a number of fish I'd never seen before including the short nose batfish(one ugly fish), flying gunards, chain moray, blackfin cardinalfish and shy hamlets. The group of people were great and we started a new SD tradition for when somebody gets one of those dives that end in 00(i.e. 100, 200, etc...) Ask fingrabber(100) or WW(800) if you want to know. There were people of all different skill levels and some of the newer divers did great in particular would be landlocked(Mandi) and Scubabrant(Brant). Both were relative newbies but were diving liked seasoned divers at the end and really enjoying the night dives as well. A few people got lost and had to be picked up or had a bit of surface swim back to the boat but at least everybody dived fairly safely, although Bill the engineer on the boat complained a few times about nearly empty tanks. When they say be on the boat with 500 psi thats what they want. 400 might be okay but 100 is not!!! My buddy left his weights on board on one dive and after pulling himself down the mooring line realized he didn't have his weight belt on. I being the nice guy that I am gave him half of my 10 lbs. on another dive he glanced at his gauge on the boat and thought it said 2900 psi when it actually read 1900 psi. On that dive he went up a half hour before I did. I might give him some of my weights but unless he was out of air he wasn't getting any of mine. On one of the night dives he didn't monitor his air very well and I almost did have to give him some but we got back to the boat. I think he might have been one those people with 100psi in his tanks on that dive. But the diving was great and the company was great and the boat was great and as I told Kamala "There is nothing like a singledivers trip"

Hey Mandy, since you are in the process of posting pics, when do we see the new Avatar with your big smile that Kamala took?

Thanks again for being such a great roommate.

I'm working on it. I sort of neglected the homework so I've been a little busy this morning :anna: but I'll get it up there soon. Thank you for being such a great roommate too. I wish I could go to Bonaire with you!
also, thanks for the listing of people in the picture.

I sure hope we meet up again on another trip!

Hi WW,
I just want YOU to know that there are now 4 internet cafes here that have www.singledivers.com as their home page. The 2 on St. Kitts and now 2 on Nevis. :fish2: I'm such a little angel...now, aren't I? :fish2:

Doing my part for the good of the SD-com.

Mary

Mary,

does that count the one at Bird Rock?? Cuz I changed that one!! :fish2:

where is that boat, anyway?? I need to go diving again. I've been dry for too long, that's why the computer screen is moving :fish2:

I added names to the comments on the dinner picks and the crew pics. If I add anymore that need listing I'll try to remember to do it as I add them.

Tony? where did he go? damn, him.

Hey girlie...he's already in line at the damn airport to sign up for the next trip! But fortunately he can find the airport easier than he can the boat!! :fish2:

Tony ya know we love you...specially Mary....she misses you already...she hasn't stopped talking about you yet....of course its ALL GOOD!!! :fish2:

Can't wait for all the pics....and stories...but I guess its time to create a new section on the board for the 'Rest of the story...and pictorial evidence'. Seems we have LOTS of pics we need to post but can't disclose to the general public. Or as Mary says...this ain't no porn site!

OF COURSE she was talking about the bat fish...and his underwater uh...extensions! Not to mention several other wild things that just seemed to pop up! -ww

Ok, I finally found the boat, now I just need to find all of my luggage which AA conviently lost one of. It was the stinky laundry and not the gear, so that's cool. Thanks again to all, especilly to you Mary for letting me put up with you. You really were a blast to dive with. It took 23 hours to get up from St. Kitts until I got to bed last night, then got up after five hours of sleep to try to relate to my wife some details of this incredible trip. I am an absolute zombie right now. I hope all of you are well. Thank you all for a great time.

Hey ya'll... next to last to make it home. I left Mary in St Kitts to cause a little trouble on her own. No real problems beyond sweating my tush off in St Maarten waiting to check in. Pictures I will take care of tomorrow.

Mandi, I'll work on my photos and post the good ones since most of them were junk. U/W photography is hard to do.

Just want to say what a great group of people we had and what fun I had diving with everyone. You people rock! How long before the swaying stops?????
We all must believe in something... I believe I'll have another beer
