(disclaimer...this is not an add for that brand)
But for me times a changin. I went out a month ago and bought a george foeman grill to cook some chicken breasts and other meats. well to my surprise I found that I was getting pretty clever with other things also. I started slicing zuccine, yellow squash, mushrooms, carrots and grilling them. all these veggies before I was frying, steaming, boiling etc. and this baby cooks them fast!. the grill marks make me feel like Im cheeting on my diet...but Im not
I wanna stay bubble2bubble and not be buba2buba someday.
any other SD.comers use a grill like this and what do you cook on it???

Grills, zuccunin is grate, asparagus grilled, but you probably have more reciepes than I as I'm sure there's a book on them with the grill.. but Yes, it is amazing that these, any I guess, grilll can do these days..
My bestest out door cooking, camping, was a Souffle' Grand Marnier...

Word of warning though, you need to be careful on starting out with just a simple outdoor cooking grill.. heheh... Oh sure, one little Grill, what's the harm eh??
But then it's,
hmmm need a table,
hmmm, need an unbrella,
hmmm..need something to keep all the pots and pans in,
hmmmm... and you're hooked..
(just joking of course)
Outdoor Cooking... a slippery slope to be sure...
but well worth it if you can share it...

I've had one for a few years as well, and my one complaint has been that I couldn't remove the grills. So if they have one that you can remove the grills that's the way to go..Is it mooing at you as you're eating??Steak, 45-60 seconds and you're eatin'!!
As for cleaning, get the new one with the removable grills...its great
I've cooked lots of stuff on mine, but no vegies or fish (I do fish outside just so I don't smell up the place.

You just think you have trained your cats to stay off counters....EEEEEWWWWWWWWW!!! I knew there was a reason that I trained my cat to stay off the counters (and my dog is too small to reach)!
(Now if you have actually succeeded... I might not mind cats after all.... )

2 parts olive oil
1 part balsamic vinegar
diced or pressed garlic
dry mustard (if making 1 c marinade approx 1 t.)
pepper
sea salt (preferably Maldon)
For new potatoes:
prick and microwave in a bowl then toss in olive oil, pepper and sea salt (again preferably Maldon) and then grill. Serve with garlic aoli
For chicken satays:
2 T soya sauce
2 T fresh lemon juice
2 T curry powder
1 T brown sugar
1 T vegetable oil (canola or sunflower)
1/2 t cumin
1/4 t Chinese five spice powder
Finally, grilled ceasar salad:
Romaine hearts drilled in olive oil
heat up ceaser or cremy garlic dressing - if bought note that some heat better than others; oil content helps
brown pine nuts in olive oil, salt and pepper
Grill the lettuce until warm in middle. Drizzle warmed dressing over top and sprikle with pine nuts.
Hope those help!

Eeekk! Microwave?!For new potatoes:
prick and microwave in a bowl then toss in olive oil, pepper and sea salt (again preferably Maldon) and then grill. Serve with garlic aoli
Is there any way to avoid the microwave without the grilling taking forever?
(Not a big fan of the microwave. I try to use it only for hot chocolate in the winter, and refuse to feel guilty about it since it has no real nutritional value to begin with.)
Any other recipes? I'm always looking for quick and easy alternatives to my wok-style frying pan.
