Well, I'm disappointed in the weekend! I so wanted to meet you all and dive with you. Some of you are very new and it's always nice to meet new folks. Others have been on the board awhile and I've not had the opportunity to meet you yet. I was looking forward to meeting some of my old online friends like Marion & Randy. Of course it's always great to see old dive buddies as well. As much as I love diving, the people are what makes these trips special to me.

Missed meeting you too Walter. How's the house going?

Now, if I could just figure out how to find the pictures...
Deb

Yah, I had to hack the URL to get to the photo gallery ... or is that one of those paid membership seckrit handshake maneuvers ?
The Dinky link that sez "Gallery -->" no workie.

Workie nicely, but navigation leaves something to be desired (room for improvement)

You and me Both Walter. I was in Gainesville thurs-mon. Training Camp.
One of these days I need to make the trip west to go hunt teeth.

If I'm not moving (It's not likely I will be), I might just head to Venice on Saturday. You're welcome to join me.

;) Yeah...its a benefit of being a premier member but if you do the work around you can still see them. Although not much...the $25 goes along ways to helping us keep SD going and you get the fee back on almost every SD trip you take with us regardless of number. Thanks, k

I need to go look at the pictures and post mine. I would do it tonight, but I am just too tired. I've had 3 very long days here on business and I hope tomorrow is better. Although it will be rainy again. Tomorrow is supposed to be a slow day, so maybe I can get the pics posted.

I had a great time on the trip and got to meet some wonderful people as well. Not much can get better than that.

Walter, I hope you get closed tomorrow.

Well the diving was great and it was nice seeing old friends and new faces. Thanks again to RichardB and Marvel for making it happen. I'll get some pictures up in a few days. :diver: :fish:

Yes kudos AGAIN for two great people jumping in to save the day!! I'm proud they are members of our site! :teeth:

But we also had some behind the scenes unsung heros that should also be recognized...

Walter aka Walterb for always lending a helping hand even when 'dad' didn't ask!
Randy aka Randy54 for his tireless efforts to help get divers to our diving destinations, help with tanks or anything else we needed especially when we were short on spots Friday on the boat...and don't forget scoping out the way to the dive sites!
Ray aka Latitude Adjustment for hauling divers, also helping out in whatever ways were needed including switching spots along with Linda aka BlueDolphin on Friday when were were short (in fact we ended up having such great support that we had an extra spot on Friday that Julie aka Scuba Diva filled.)
Marion aka Marion1336 for hauling tanks and gear, helping with air runs & helping to share the driving plus remembering to be SD's photog on the trip!
Anne aka FrenchieFish for helping with air fills, hauling gear and tanks and being so patient when I was getting the leftover cookout food for the boat dives on Monday morning...not to mention lending clothes to freezing roommates.
Ari aka Vettenorlando for using his truck to haul gear and divers.
Todd aka Capt Too for hauling divers and helping with gear...especially for helping his roommate.
Howard aka ScubaMiamiDad for letting divers stay with him, lending gear, and driving divers.
Lee aka Phree337 for his 'computing power' and willingness to jump in and help with tanks or whatever else needed done.
Jill aka Nextariel for the great survey she introduced on this trip that will be part of all SD trips going forward....and don't forget to return them to either Jill or Marvel!

And once again, a very special thank you to Marvel for organizing the dives boats at the last minute, checking out the hotel for us which was few blocks from her famous 'sideyard', coordinating area information, providing info and maps, opening her home to divers, leading the night time beach dive and of course just being our very own 'Marvelicious'!

And last but not least an extremely warm thank you to Richardb for lending tanks to practically everyone on the trip including me so that they did not need to rent tanks, for organizing all the fills and hauling all those tanks he so graciously brought all the way from SC for people to use, for helping to organize the trip before the event with all his great spreadsheets...(sounds like a new SD best practice to me) and for working non-stop during the trip driving, hauling divers, scouting out food, entertaining all the ladies on the trip, picking up Marion, Ann and Julie at the airport and dropping them off again on Monday, offering to dive with all the ladies to ensure they had wonderful dives as well as ensuring that everyone had a great time in everyway that he knew how!

I think that Marvel and Richard were great trip leaders and continued to be so throughout the trip. I can't thank them enough for all their support and help to make this trip a success as well as all the 'unsung' heros and all our divers who participated! :P

You all make me proud to be part of SD.com! Kamala

Everyone did a great job making this trip very enjoyable. Thanks to all of you for ptiching in and making those of us attending for the first time feel welcome. Now - can anyone tell me what our 4 dive sites were on Saturday? It was so much fun that I forgot to get the names for my log. Any help is greatly appreciated here. - Deb
