***INFORMAL TRIP DETAILS***

Hi everyone. Sorry it took me so long to get back to this thread.

There really isn't much to organize here. This is a very informal and "unofficial" get together.

FOOD/CAMPING GEAR ETC:

Bring whatever you want to eat and drink, camping stuff, diving stuff, and a chair to sit in.

GRILLS & OTHER SHARED STUFF:

DiveN and Drdiver have graciously offered to share their grills and stoves. Alan and Dennis - Do we need to bring charcoal?

I will bring an extra fold up table. Table space was at a premium over memorial weekend without nearly as many people.

LOCATION AT ATHENS & FEES TO GET IN:

Alan has reserved dock #4 for our group, I believe it's the first one to the left when you get to the dive shop. (#1&2 are by the shop)...#4 is further down the lake. They will direct you when you check in.

Alan - I believe there is a $20.00 gate fee and a $5.00/day camping fee, is that correct??

Airfills are $10.00
Tank Rentals are $15.00/day

INSTRUCTION:

Allan aka Dive N will be offering PADI Advanced Open Water this weekend with ScubaPunk and Flatwood already signed up. He could use several more students in the class if you are interested. He has offered a special price of $150 including book (plus shipping to you if ordered by Sat 6-24), slate, c-card, and full instruction. Or if you wish to get your own book the course price is $115. Please contact him to find out what specialities to do the knowledge reveiws for.

HEADCOUNT SO FAR:

I have counted 22 people who have said that they will be coming for at least part of the weekend. I think this will be a great weekend, we have people coming in from Kansas, Arkansas (that be you B2B), Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Louisiana!

Michael - Are you coming for sure?? We will have a great crowd to paint and sink that thing of yours.

See ya'll there.

Looks like you guys had a great time.
Is the 4th of July a sure thing?

Allen has already reserved a dock for us...someone will be there!

Like me!!

I am opening this thread to let everyone know that this event is being planned.

I'm sorry I don't have any details at this time. I have been pre-occupied with the FG trip and Bonaire. Once I return next week, I will give this event the attention it deserves. There has been quite a bit of interest, so I am now opening it up for discussion.

divin aggie - I think I remember at least three dogs being there on Memorial Weekend, so I don't think it would be a problem.

I don't have a problem with pets sharing my tent, as long as they don't eat me.
I have a 12/17 tent to share for the weekend.
