It seems to me that one good way to get closer to sealife is not to pay attention to it. I try to ignore it or watch it out of perphial vision until it is optimum time to turn and pull the trigger. I meen push the button. :welcome:

Another technique I use is what I call acting. I will assume an odd posture or expression. Sometimes even use body language. Often a shark or large fish will give you another pass out of curiosity.

Works well in Palau.
