Colors won't matter. Moving slowly is the key to approaching fish.

I have an underwater housing for my Canon digital S400 that I bought online for about $100 that takes great pics. I have a personal gallery here
http://www.singlediv...&code=00&cat=13
and several of my shots are in the Bonaire trip gallery from last year (this URL, plus the next couple of pages).

Can't help you too much with the photos - I still use a 35 mm underwater camera... however, some of the BEST underH20 photos I've taken have been in Honduras and the Caymans.

Wet suit - many fish are color blind - and some of the animals underwater are nearly or completely blind, following their nose or the activity in the water. Walter is right - the key to getting near the cool stuff is to approach slowly... or stop altogether - sometimes if they're already swimming they'll come to or near you.

Yes, there's also the theory of yum yum yellow. The question wasn't related to avoiding shark attacks, but to approaching fish for photo ops. Even with regard to sharks, who have been known to attack certain colors more frequently than others, your behavior is a much bigger factor than your wet suit. I've experimented a little with sharks and noted how they react to me when I do certain things.

I don't know about attracting fish or predators, but ever since I purchased a bright pink wet suit, none of my dive buddies have asked to borrow it.

OK, lets make a deal. If you stop telling me how to dive, I'll stop going down to the bus station at 2am to slap d***s out of your mouth.

What's wild is there's a club in Dallas, but not in Austin or Houston.

Something wrong there.
