Hi everyone. Tutt and I boarded at 6:45 am this morning and just arrived to Buddy Dive resort at around 8:00pm. The resort is great and we are going to have a bite and a drink and crash. John aka Meteora is here with us, and uh, where is everyone??!! Sorry WW, I noticed you won't make it till Monday. The water looks beautiful, can't wait to dive in. We are a little travel weary right now.

Bonaire is beautiful. We got our check out dives done except for me. Gotta fix my computer or rent another set with regulators so that is the only reason I got spare time to be on the computer. We got 3 trucks and got everybody sort of paired up and hitting the water. Elizabeth wants to get 6 dives in today but we'll see if we all have the stamina. :welcome:

Having Fun,
Que

Hi Sea Urchin,

....glad everyone (and their dive gear) arrived safely and everyone's having FUN!

...yes, Bonaire is quite beautiful. Boy, Elizabeth sounds even more excited to go diving than I was...and that's no mean feat! :welcome:

....do pace yourselves though....you will find a week of shore-diving with lots of sun and a bit of rock-climbing will tend to catch up with you...we found 5 dives daily to be about all we could sustain over a whole week....so don't get burnt-out too fast, you've got plenty of time to do lots of nice diving.

...say 'HI!" to the gang for us!

Water temp 80.... surface temp 86. I don't know how you guys are holding up.

I can't wait to see the pictures. You all brought camera's RIGHT?????

Glad to hear everyone and everything arrived as planned. Have fun and be safe.

We saw a wooden samoan sailboat docked right at the resort. The only thing better would be either a beautiful sunrise or sunset on the boat and Dr. Diver with his SD Sunset.

But again, the arrival of our fearless leader THE WENCH, is even better. The airline held her for ransom but we did come up with the forfeit to get her back and she joined us for breakfast this morning.

We are heading-out for our date with the fish.

Thank you again...it was almost like having you on the trip...only smaller! lmao.gif

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmm

You really should address your spousely, mistress, girlfriend duties and take care of him better.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. That was your paramour, Mandrake's, locum.

But monkeys and footballs--that's a Grenada capital offense, you know.

But in Grenada, ignorance of the law is a defense!!!

I have nothing to do with it!!! Just an intermediary. And, btw, he's just sent me a report, I'll have to post after cleaning it up a bit.......

For those that want to know about the monkey on the trip...or was that the 'monkeying around'....it goes like this.

On Friday our last day together as a group a strange and mysterious pkg arrives at the hotel for me. It had no return address and had caused all sorts of questions from the hotel staff as well as our members.

I finally opened it a bit apprehensive about what I would find....and inside was the following note:

June 10, 2005

The Jail
St George's
Grenada

Crying my eyes out missing my Kamala,

(Insert picture of very sad looking monkey in a cage)

This little guy will keep you company until I can wrap my tail around you again.

Love and Hoots,

Mandrake

(I'm innocent, I didn't sink the Bianca C)

Of course I was taken aback...how was I to know that my beloved Mandrake was in jail??? How would I ever recover???

Due to the kindness of a wonderful doctor who took grave risks to sneak my beloved Mandrake's picture to me and a wonderful reminder of him...I can now rest knowing I'll see him soon and hopefully set him free in September.

Thank you AGAIN Dr. Diver....you are such a dear! -ww

We passed him around to take pictures with him. Thank you Dr. Diver for thinking of us while we were away. Sandy have some pictures but they are not digitals so we have to wait until she recover and upload them, or perhaps the other photographers in the group would post some.

I think we took more fish pictures than group pictures but I'll sweet-talk other members into sharing the group picture.

Had an awsome time. The old bull made off with all the cows.

Other memorable moment: driving the wrong way into an ATM so the passengers could get money out....Thank you Teresa.

Mandrake pines for you, Kamala.

He waits for you in jail.
