Trigger- I dive in a 7mm full with a 3mm vest and hood. I think we hit a thermocline down there.

Don't want folks to think I kiss and dive all the time. It's a rare event and generally little more than a peck or a short "freedom kiss." I'm usually too busy with my video equipment to be aware of my buddy no matter how beautiful.

Ah, but 'Chie... were you serious I could be convinced to wear my Cressi-Sub Big Eyes mask and that way I'd be sure to see you! Don't leave me in the lurch. Give me a second chance. Do I have to come to Bonaire or will you dive our delightfully chilly kelp forests with me. Sigh, I knew you didn't really mean it.

brrr.....i'd be a real "cold fish" in the chilly kelp forest for sure. maybe if i freeze to death, DAN will buy me some wings to make CT's inlaws (most likely in heaven as long as their nothing like him!) happy. honestly though...CA will be on my list next year along with the bald eagles in CT's neck of the woods for sure.

Bill,

I love the kelp forests, but even with inspiration like Mischievous, they're too cold for club activities. Bonaire, OTOH.............. Chie, wanna be my buddy?

It's always the strong silent types like Walter who steal the young lovelies away.

Just remember Walter it isn't always as cold here as the day you and Sapphire dove with me. That was a chilly one. Heck, it's nearly 10 degrees warmer today and it's just early spring.

'Chie- you could kill two birds with one stone. Come out to Catalina and you can dive CA with bald eagles soaring above you.

but if you made sure not to ascend while breathlessly kissing, you should be ok, right?

My point is this can be done safely, but you need to be a skilled diver and you need to give it thought. I don't want any of our people hurt.

thanks walter. i think i have the necessary skills to pursue this little test.

just gotta find an appropriate subject.....

Sounds like we might need to offer some clinics in Bonaire on this subject! Walter...are you teaching it? I still have a few spots left on the trip if anyone else wants to join this fun and ever interesting group that is going or is that 'growing' to Bonaire!!! ww

You know I wish I weren't going to be in Boston during the Bonaire trip... I'd sure love to meet all these sweet ladies and, since I have a PhD and college teaching experience, I'd be happy to teach a class on underwater kissing if Walter doesn't bite on the opportunity!

Seriously, I really do wish I could be there with everyone. I think you're going to have way more fun than you know. Just report extensively on it when you get back.... IF you can find a way to break out of Bonaire's jail!

Oops, I'd better start making dinner. Karen must be finished with her night dive and I'm sure she'll be hungry when she gets up here. Anyone want to join us for Thai green curry with turkey, wine and some of my footage of Belize? Oh, and I have a CD of Karen's music on the stereo (she's a Grammy-nominated musician in addition to being a great dive instructor... very talented).

Signing off or the immediate future, but hopefully all of you are out on the town for Sat night!

Works for me, darlin'. We'll have to practice our technique prior to the clinic.

Might be able to kill two birds with one stone Mischievous... I should know this Wednesday whether or not I'll be destined to take up residence in the chilly ( warm by my standards actually ) kelp forests or not. If so, you might get the chance to buddy up with Dr. B and I without having to take two trips.

Either way, the San Juan Islands and points further noth ( Eh! ) should DEFINATELY be on your ( this applies equally to EVERYONE ) list of must-do dive destinations.

I'm sure my parents wouldn't know what to say if they ever saw you sporting wings... :angel2:
