I started doing birthday trips with my daughter over a decade ago, and now - with a bigger family, here we go again! I'll have my grown daughter & son-in-law with me, my adolecent grandson, baby granddaughter, and maybe my sis.
Wed - July 21: Arrive Tampa before noon: Grab car, head north
Mon - July 26: Leave Tampa at 6pm
In that time, we want to do Birds Manatee snorkeling; I know, not likely to find manatees in the summer, but we're going to give it a shot.
Also want to do the Mermaid show. But I suspect we'll have to head over to Mickey Mouse Land, not for The World, but for some other sites they have in mind.
And other suggestions of things we really should try to do while we're in the area? Really appreciate your help now, as I am one to plan details up to six months out. I'll be tuning this trip a lot in the coming weeks.
thanks, don

What would Patton do...?
Yeah I know: I've been branded a non-group person - doesn't play well with others. I am so upset. Let me know if you want to have some fun, without the drama - I'm good for that.

Yes, well - we decided to skip Mikey Mouse land this trip. Yea!
Got 4 plane tickets, 2 cars reserved, and the first couple mornings planned.
Guess we'll ease on down the coast exploring - using the AAA Tour Book.

Hi Don,
Just found your post and since I live in Orlando I guess I could be of help. I know lots about Disney, but seems you don't want to visit Mickey. You might want to check out Downtown Disney, free of charge - lots of shopping, places to eat and interesting wandering. How about Sea World? There is lots of outlet shopping. Bok Tower if you are into gardens, Boat ride in Winter Park, canoeing on the Weikva River, Water Parks galore. Hope some of that helps.
