What you could do...fly from IND or CVG to DFW...then use charter air from here...WW could give you more details, but that would cut your costs

It's about $500 to DFW from here. I might be able to find just a bit cheaper, but I can't do the Monday -Friday. If I do, I can't take enough time off for any long trips or more than 1 short trip later in the year. So that means I can only do the 12/30-1/3. Flights to CZM are about $800. I haven't seen much price difference between IND, CVG and SDF. SDF is definitely preferred. The other 2 would cost me about $100 in gas and parking. If you see any better prices, let me know.

I know sometimes you have to take time to off gas. I am just trying to decide on going on this trip or waiting for a different trip. It is really a tough decision knowing that whatever trip I go on I will have a great time.

As for diving this day...we will have shore diving but most likely not boat diving. I am still checking into the options for a boat dive however we will ALL be wet one way or another! -ww

Yes there is still room on the flight however with rising fuel charges I will need to see if we have gotten hit with any add'l charges. Will have that shortly...

Got your check Phylis...just want to be sure if you are booking land pkg only and you have your air under control? Also what days are you booking land for? That way hopefully others will try to line up the long weekend stays with the full week stays to keep rooming arrangements working out!

The 3 night 2 day lands in CZM Friday 12/30 and flies out of CZM on 1/2 so we dive 12/31 and 1/1?

A 4 night could be landing in CZM 12/30, dive 12/31,1/1,1/2 and fly home 1/3 or 4?

So our last day of diving is a short day?

Is that right?

One last question:
Could I do 12/30 into CZM and 1/5 leave CZM?

For anyone interested Orbitz has a 1 day DFW sale - today. It's about $200 difference from yesterday.

Yes the DFW to CZM fllight is Friday to Monday so you dive on Sat, & Sun...I have gotten boat diving set up for Sunday Jan 1 now so we are good to go.

You can also do 2 extra tank dives on Sat giving you a total of 4 plus 2 on Sunday am and any shore diving you want Sunday afternoon!!!

If you do the 4 nite it must be done via scheduled air...aka one of the main carriers such as Continental, AA etc.

However I need to book these today/tonight if possible as I leave for Grenada tomorrow! Otherwise, Kim aka Fingrabber will help to get your tickets booked but you'll need to pay via paypall since she won't have access to checks! Thanks k

GOOD NEWS!!!

I have set diving up for the 1st of January. We may be using another dive operator (Paradise) but we dove with them this past January and everyone seemed to like them as well as Casa Del Mar!)

So now...we are diving 2 days in the 3 day pkg; 3 days in the 4 day pkg and 5 days in the 7 day pkg but now we dive on Jan 1st!!!

One last question:

If you find the air yes you can as the charter does not run those days. However you may have to pay for a single room on any nights that we don't have a roommate for you since they are odd nights. I can add extra diving to fix the pkg so no issue there!

I guess I'm going to have to give up on this for now. I got close, but just couldn't swing it for the $$. If air prices drop again perhaps I will. I foresee prices increasing though
