With Katrina bearing down on Florida, and meteorologists saying it may be a full Hurricane when it hits. I just have to wonder what idiot put the name Katrina on the storm list. If a friend died from the storm surge produced by this storm, I would have to spend my life explaining that my friend was killed by Katrina and the Waves! They really should think these things through! Oh, well, I'm walking on sunshine her in Iowa!

Actually this years list of names is the same as 1999. TS Katrina was around Oct 28th - Nov 1st 1999. She came a little sooner this year. And in 1999 Lenny was the last storm of the year and his name was retired along with Floyd. Since we are half way through the list of names with 98 days remaining it will be interesting to see if we get to use the extra names this year. They will start with the Greek Alphabet if we run out of names.

Number 2 for Florida this year, half of last year's total. I don't understand why Katrina is not a good name, if your friend is killed by a hurricane, it won't matter what name was assigned.

I doubt if Marvel is happy that Katrina is coming to visit her side yard!

And for any others who live quiet lives and do not know who the other Katrina and the Waves may be - it appears to be a muscial group maybe: http://www.katw.com/
What would Patton do...? Posted Image

Yeah I know: I've been branded a non-group person - doesn't play well with others. I am so upset. Posted Image Let me know if you want to have some fun, without the drama - I'm good for that.

They were a 80's pop-rock band and I guess you can call them a "one-hit wonder". Their hit song was "Walking on Sunshine" in '84 or '85. They still knocked around for awhile after that as I remember they had a couple other songs played on the radio after that.

Henry, yes Henry, during the lunch '80's request time a caller asked for 'Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves. She thought it was very funny. Must be a DJ thang! :thankyou:

Anyone else see a resemblance between "sunshinediver" and Julie Christie in her acting days?
