May I make a suggestion, please?

In the SD information that covers avatar assistance, can you please add in that when changing one's avatar, one needs to hit the refresh button after the new avatar is selected?

I had problems changing my avatar -- the new one wouldn't display, only the old one and it was stretched out -- and needed to contact admin about it. The admins fiddled around a bit and then discovered the problem was that I had not hit the refresh button once I selected my new avatar file. I've noticed other members have had the same problem as well.

For some browsers, if you hold down the "shift" key when you select refresh, it'll give you a better-refresh (which bypasses any cache) than you might otherwise get. This is the case for Mozilla/Firefox family of browsers and Safari. Other browsers may have other variations: Reference

This post was just a FYI for anyone who might find it useful, where Y is not necessarily Caetllonn since she may well know this about refreshing anyway.

OK - I've been trying to change my avatar pic but, can't seem to figure it out.
I click onto "edit avatar settings" - go in and select a different photo - click on "update avatar" and my avatar pic changes on my own page but, is still the same old one that is posted on the page when I post stuff.
There is NO refresh button to click on so, not sure what or where I'm to find that.
If I select to remove my avatar then it WILL remove it in both places but, then I go in and try to put in the new picture and the original one keeps coming up.
Suggestions anyone?

The refresh button is on your broswer....it looks like an arrow either going in a circle or something similar. Click on that and it will refresh the page so you see your new avatar!
