B2B and I have been discussing a trip to the Athens scuba park in the next few weeks. Maybe the weekend of Oct 1 or Oct 8? If anyone is interested please let us know so we can organize something. I look forward to meeting all of you!!

I love Athens...especially the hot tub!!! I'll be in NC Oct 1st and getting back from DEMA Oct 7th so not sure I can make either but I'd love to join you all if I can!

Oct 8th sounds about right for me. I hope others will post as well.
dallas area folks can come over for the day or set-up a tent and stay the weekend and dont forget that there are hotels right around the corner. I think this will be a great idea to end the north american diving season and we can dive on the SD.com spaceship and dust her off alittle. dont think about it.... Just Do It SDs.

I am planning on making Stillhouse as well. I have never been to Athens and wanted to check it out before the water gets chilly.

B2B was nice enough to suggest posting to see who else might want to take a little road trip.

Sandy that is great news your thinkin on coming up to Athens to join us hope some of your other south texas friends can come also! I'm even going to try to make the stillhouse dive party if possible. if you come will you bring your Big Tahs Mahal tent again

No. Athens should be viewed as a once in a life time dive experience. And once only.

No depth.
No Fish.
Rusted Crap.
Alkaline Water - deteriorates your gear. flash rust your metalic components of your gear. gaush for bid don't get your keys wet.
Once you've seen it. You've been there and done that.

Female friendly camping facilities though. Nothing exceptional as similiar facilities are in place at better and more diverse dive locations that are gear and fish friendly.

Thats my 2 cents. Your outing have fun with. I won't be there. My equipment and money is better place elsewhere.

The people who show up from our group and guests at every local are great and fun is had by all. But once is enough at that location, its a been there done that at its best.

Better locals with better ambiance abound in this state and others.

For those that go the event on that weekend, ENJOY and have a wonderful time.

B2B has reserved a dock for us to use.

If you wish to camp B2B and myself with both be there Friday and you are welcome to join us! For those of you who prefer camping at the Holiday Inn I am sure Athens has a plethora of available hotels!

OR if you prefer to drive over for the day the gates open at 8am with an entry fee of $20.

I look forward to seeing some of you guys there!

Well it looks like we are starting to get a group together .
sandy it looks like we can all have a slumber party at your place in the evenings Tereasa are you going to bring your mermaid tail again?

Lets think of some idea's for a little surface interval fun... we can do a north american Twister game. or we can also talk about some HH idea's if some of the new or want to be HHers planners want to come. Im sure calvin will do a treasure hunt etc.. ?
