Required elements:
1) Single and available (no sloppy seconds, thank you very much)
2) HONEST

8) Treats me as an equal partner
9) Relatively health-conscious
10) Respectful / polite

Bonus points (not required but a definiate plus)
1) A diver (duh!)
2) Likes motorcycles
3) Likes animals
4) No kids or grown kids

Dealbreakers (these things rule you out altogether)
1) Abusive (physically or mentally-and yelling counts) . If this is you, take two anger management classes and DON'T call me in the morning
2) Prejudiced/racist/sexist/homophobic
3) Demeaning to women
4) Shallow
5) Cheater

In an ideal world, here's my list. Given that reality rarely creeps in on idealism I understand that all of my "wish list" is not likely to be met.

 Emotionally healthy.
 Committed to working on our relationship – won’t leave at first sign of disagreement.
 Honest, and creates and atmosphere safe for honesty.
 A “soul-mateâ€� in every sense of the word.
 Intelligent.
 Articulate.
 Educated.
 Physically attractive but not hung up on it – doesn’t have to be stunning.
 As comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt at Dodger Stadium as she is in an evening gown at the symphony.
 Spontaneous.
 Fun-loving.
 Sweet disposition.

Hmmm. Sounds like a winner to me. That means agree with the deal breakers, no to Las Vegas, but yes to ice cream.

Wish List:
No need to set the theromstat at 68 in the summer
Sense of humor - preferably on the dry side
Diving is a must and a desire to travel to exotic places and not be afraid of sand between their toes
Doesn't take life or themselves too seriously
Likes to laugh
Enjoys the outdoor

Intelligent, Adventurous, and Open-Minded. He should command my respect for his intelligence, being an intellectual equal or even superior. He doesn't have a mindset against something, be it an idea or an activity, before he's actually explored it. He shares my love for the ocean and outdoors. He shares common interest in activities and can introduce me to some new activities or explore them for the first time along side of me. He physically and mentally challenges me. He truly seeks an equal partner in life and in adventure.

You guys have some great lists & I could pick & choose among them to make up my own ((especially Jamie's) but the bottom line is- it's all pherenomes anyway!!
