A friend of mine just made his first trip to Cyprus and decided to dive this famous and enormous wreck just outside Larnaca harbour. He did some research beforehand and shopped aroud once he got there, and went with a dive center that sounded better than most. There was very little difference in prices between operators. He went out on what can only be described as a cattle boat - over 30 divers on board, though not all diving the wreck - and it was a 20 minute ride to the wreck. There were a couple of air hogs in the group he had to dive with, and after a 30 minute dive he came up with his tank half full - on both dives.

The amazing thing is the price. These dives cost $100 EACH - he paid $200 for a morning's poor diving. Yet all the dive centers there seemed to have no shortage of customers.

I think I'd have been a little irritated by the price and the lack of dive time...if I spend $100 USD on a dive, I hope to have 500 psi left at the end, whether I saw anything or not
