OK, put me on the "interested list." I'll have to see about vacation scheduling, but I didn't get to go last Fall, so maybe I can make this trip. I have yet to see one of tose big toothy grey nurse sharks and I hear the state of NC can be adventure filled, not to mention SD dive trips! :D :D :D

So if you are diving for 4 days does that mean you are doing 8 different dives? And I take it these dives are fairly open ended meaning as much depth and bottom time as the individual diver's computer will allow?

I believe that I can speak on this one. Eight dives on different sites may not happen. Eight dives likely will happen. Weather conditions may mean that we dive the same wreck twice or some such thing. Still, to me every dive is different. Alot of times, I will see a wreck differently the second time around as all that I really had time for due to bottom time constraints is a "high level" overview on the first dive.
A person should be judged in this life not by the mistakes that they make nor by the number of them. Rather they are to be judged by their recovery from them.

Hi Kamala,

...if you would, can you put me and Nurseshark down for the steel 100's and NITROX ? We'll get some $ out in the mail to you tomorrow. Nurseshark talked me into this one, I wasn't sure it would be 'doable' since, as you know, we're also on the July FG trip as well, but I know you're keeping this aggressive schedule, so I suppose the logistics will work out.

I believe Nurseshark has touched base with you and Kim with respect to the flight schedules and is awaiting feedback. I do know we're driving to Houston and flying to NC from there so that we're in position to immediately drive down to Freeport from Houston the evening of July 5th to board FLING.......can you say 'Scuba Marathon"? :fish:

...by the way, I'm wondering if it would be possible for me to rent/reserve HP 120's / NITROX on the 'Diver Down' ?

(if that's going to be a pain for you to arrange, no sweat, I'll stick with HP 100's, but I'd appreciate it if it's possible. Nurseshark will be fine sticking to HP 100's I think.)

...don't worry, I don't need any H-valve equipped HP 120's, just regular single-valve tanks.

(as you'll remember, we all dove HP 120's at the Flower Gardens aboard Sea Searcher II last summer, so I'm very comfortable
with that tank.)

This will be a new dive trip experience for us, we've never dove the Graveyard of the Atlantic before, so we're looking forward to a unique trip and then segway right into the FG/Fling trip........ :o

Karl

P.S. ...I'm assuming Diver Down is using HP tanks......if so, do they require DIN 1st stages ? I've got plenty of DIN/Yoke convertible regs available, but I'm asking so that nobody gets a nasty surprise with an incompatible reg upon arrival.

Hi Kamala and Kim,

Yup, put me on the list as "checks in the mail"..and Yes, I twisted Karls' regulator until he agreed to go..it took about a minute or two :tears:
I do need some help with the logistics, since we are also going to FG , I had thought we could fly out of Houstan so when we return we can just hop down to join up with the group for another dive trip to the FG..its a hard life but someone has to do it :hiya:
If one of ya'll could pm me about flight info and where I need to fly into , times etc.. I would really appreciate it...
See ya soon !
Karen
