OK: I just spoke with the dive operator and I have a few final bits of info on the wrecks we are diving which days!

I'll post that shortly in the meantime.....you all must have a passport or a birthcertificate with Drivers' License...both US and Canadians or you won't be able to dive! -ww

Got the following Diving update from the Dive operator:

Saturday: We leave from Andress Boat works. We'll leave the Hotel about 12:45 and which means lunch will be at 11:45am til 12:45 so we can meet at 1pm leave 1:30 to 1:45 or no later then 2pm. If we need extra time the boat may be a bit late hence the flexibility in departure time! We will dive Key Storm and Americas

Sunday: We'll leave from Andress Boat works and dive Vicarey (sp?) and Kingshorn leaving at 12:30 so we need to be at dock at 12noon so we'll leave the hotel about 10-15 minutes earlier if that is plenty of time.

Monday: We'll leave from Brockville so Meet at 12 leave at 12:30 and leave hotel at 11:45. We'll dive on Lillie Parsons, Gaskin, Muskie or Daryaw (we can pick two of the four!)

I will be there for the dive in October someone just has to put the exact dates and make sure I have to work in LA at that time and will bring the gear. Work and actually have some fun outside of the LA party train

Additional Critical Information about our dives this weekend:

1. You need to all be geared up and prepared on dock, first tank hooked up, second tank, ready to stow on boat, all divers suited up & ready to dive.

2. We do not allow dive bins or large dive bags on the boat, they take up to much space.

3. Please only bring what you need to dive with.

4. There is a head on board, plenty of water, a few snacks between dives.

5. Space is limited , so please travel light.

6. All Rockport departures require Passport or Birth Certificate with 1 other pce of photo ID. No exceptions. No ID , No Ride!!!!!

7. All divers must bring C-Cards & sign a Liabilty Release form.

8. For US wrecks a passenger roster must be filled out.

9. Please note that we allow divers to take upto a 1 hour surface interval between dives, please be prepared to dive a second dive after 1 hour surface interval.

Ok gang...I think that is the rest of it! See you all tomorrow or Saturday! -ww

Ugh....Houston, I think we *MAY* have a problem...(or two)

# 6: I don't have my birth certificate. My father has it in Syracuse, NY in a safe deposit box at the bank. I am going to try and contact him today and see if he can grab it so I can get it tomorrow on my way through to Brockville (Syracuse is on the way there anyway). Here's to hoping I can...

# 7: I don't have my official C-Card yet, just the temporary one my training center gave me. Will that suffice?

Sooooo.....

Assuming that I am able to get my birth certificate, and my temp c-card will be enough, I will see you all tomorrow morning.

Temp card is fine but birthcertificate or passport or other official form of identification is imperative. You might be able to use SS card as well with picture ID. -ww

Nope SS card is not the same. Aliens get those, I believe.

BossHoss - leave your original BC with your dad. Get a notarized, credit cad size copy for the county government where you were born, then have it laminted. Then, use it and your DL for backup I, as you need to look into getting a passport anyway. You have to have a PP for Central American trips, and they help for many others. In this day of both threats of terrorism and plotics based on pretend security, you'll find a PP more and more useful.

Otherwise...

Don, since when is the US government giving aliens Social Security cards? I didn't think they did....At any rate, I digress....

Well, I tried getting in contact with my father, who is out of town this weekend on a training exercise (he's a county sheriff), and nobody else has access to the safe deposit box where said birth certificate is located. I also tried going through the county, but it has been a major PITA because I reside in a county different than the one I was born in.

So, to make a long story short, no birth certificate, and won't be able to get one until my father comes back next week. I'm going to have him have a notarized copy of it made for me, and I'll just get a passport. It is something I've known I should have had for years (why didn't I just get one when I was in the Army? :wakawaka: ), and I'll have one soon I hope so something like this doesn't happen again.

I apologize to everyone, I hope I didn't screw anything up, I really wanted to get some bottom time this weekend, and NO ONE is more bummed about it than I am. :dltears:

I look forward to diving with you all soon. Most of you are within a few hours of me (Heather - PM me, you're probably only a few miles away), and I'd love to dive with any one of you. Again, I am really sorry, and I hope this didn't cause any issues for anyone.
