I'm new to diving and will be taking lessons as soon as I get a few things worked out. I'm really looking forward to this and have always been interested in the ocean depths. My dear friend of many years, Walter, has sparked a renewed interest for me.
I'm married (so in the buddyless category) and have two daughters. Walter and I have been friends for my entire adult life. Yes, I knew him when he didn't have a beard. (I like it!)
I have really enjoyed reading the many posts and especially enjoyed the underwater pictures.

Welcome to one of the best sites on the net. Walter is a great guy for new divers to be with. Always excited about diving and it rubs off.
So got any pics of ole Water without the fuzz on his face???

Don't forget to take a look at our website at SingleDivers.com. We are constantly upgrading and would love to see you on one of our upcoming trips.
Again, welcome to our little place on the net where having fun is what it is all about.

MaryAnn not only knew me when I didn't have a beard, she knew me when I couldn't grow a beard. OK, so I could, but it was patchy. Of course, back then she wasn't tall enough to see over the steering wheel. Oh wait, she's still not tall enough to see over the steering wheel.

MaryAnn, see what you have gotten yourself into? It's all good though and we ALL have a lot of fun here. Looking forward to meeting and diving with you in the future.

I don't know what part of Florida you live in, but if you're new to diving, you might want to check out Ocean Fest in Ft. Lauderdale this weekend. It's a huge event and looks to be great fun. Lots of divers on the beach, gear giveaways, free classes and good fellowship with other divers. Quite a few of our local group are planning to be there.
BTW, Walter, are you coming over for the festivities?
