Hmmm, does anyone in the DFW area want to do some workouts together?

For example,

walking/rollerblading around River Legacy Park in Arlington?
or walking/jogging at locations in Dallas?
or maybe bicyling on the Trinity Trail in Fort Worth?
or swimming at the Keller indoor pool?

I'm open to alot of different activities...I just need to know what stuff to pack into my trunk!

Hey I would sometime, I live close by to you in keller. I am always up for something. I am interested in joining the place in keller and lap swimming or taking a class . I used to really like to walk with my dog in the park by keller pointe, its a nice place to go

Hi, Kamala is in Florida but you're not too late! I'll send the survey out to you this morning!

Cool! How often would you want to go lap swimming? I haven't been working out lately so I'd have to work up to any meaningful distance but I want swimming one of my preferred workouts for this year

I've walked at Bear Creek before and thought it was a nice place as well

Hey Kim..
Nice to meet you! .. I am hoping to get back into lap swimming at least 3 time a week. I am now working out week days after work and getting bored with it so I wanted to start back into lap swimming again. I would have to work back into it too. I usually swim for about 45 minutes at a time.

Let me know if you are interested. are you thinking about swimming at keller pointe? can you swim at the high school pool?

:cool2: Being I have Palau in a month and 15 lbs to shed....my solution is an Apple instead of an Apple Fritter, Salad instead of a Ham or Turkey sandwich made with a sourdough roll..smothered in mayo, run two miles and then dinner a couple of large tablespoons of fat free cottage cheese...Loosing 1 lb a day :taz:

Now when I get back....I will revert to my old self :) :thankyou:
You must endeavor to pursue!

My solution is the "new braces" diet

I can't eat anything that needs to be chewed! Though Kamala will like this part of it - I have to do more flax cuz I can't get enough calories otherwise

So when do we start this miraculous program we have signed upfor/////I AM READY>>>.

I sent an email out to everyone to give them the password for the special forum but apparently it failed. I will resend it after I verify email addresses for you all.

In the meantime, if you have not sent your application to me please do so...I must have it to let you start in the program. Secondly, in the application it asks you to describe a typical day of your eating...rather than describing a typical day, pls keep an actual food diary. This will help us better understand what you eat, when you eat, why you eat, how you eat. If you have not done this diary/log of your eating please start so immediately. This will be very important to our understanding of how you live food wise so we can help you develop better practices.

Interesting topic--I would happily join this group. Send me a survey as well. I can give some hints though about keeping the metabolism more active. There is a certain point (different in different people) where we have digested enough that the body begins to store fat. Whenever you get above that amount, you will store fat. If you don't eat for a long time during the day, your body goes into a "starvation" mode and becomes ever more efficient in its use of calories--so you don't burn much up. If you eat small amounts every several hours during the day, you can avoid the "starvation" metabolism and keep the body thinking it has plenty and does not need to conserve. Try something like a wedge of "Laughing Cow" light cheese and an apple between breakfast and lunch and you won't feel like you need to empty the refrigerator, eat a bit more conservatively, and not go over the fat storeage limit set by your body. The snacking really does help!
