I've been to a couple HH in Raleigh, but that is SOOOO far away from Charlotte. We've had a couple new members join from the Charlotte area and maybe it's time we have a Happy Hour out this way. I like the idea of a Friday HH where you can start the night in downtown Charlotte and don't have to worry about a hangover for the following day's work. I'm thinking Feb the 17th at 6pm? Is that a good date? Is the time too early? Would you want to meet around 8pm and afterwards, continue somewhere else downtown?

I know a manager at The Westin on College Ave which has a really nice lounge in the lobby bar. If we get enough responses, I'll see if she'll reserve a table or two for us.

2 hours is not bad at all. That's a standard NYC or Boston or DC commute, hehe.

We've got 3 already, one willing to drive 2 hours to come to one, where is everyone else? . Where are the people just over the border in SC? We all know you want to come to the Queen City for some fun, getting wet (the mouth that is) with libations and tell our funny dive stories.

Hey, if you guys want to get together, we won't do anything formal, we'll just meet at a cool little bar somewhere. We'll share some dive stories, what we like to do with diving and of course, grab a couple drinks. Who's up to getting together on the 17th? Can I get a final count?
