Hi Kamala, I just sent my deposit check for myself and my significant other (yes, she's through with school) for this trip which sounds awesome, although I'll miss boarding other vessels in North Carolina! :P

Hi Kamala and Kim!

...if you'd like to update the list, Nurseshark and I will be carpooling to Freeport together, and Nurseshark will be diving NITROX as well.

Thanks!

Karl

I've never done a FG trip. Living here on the Texas high desert has forced me to travel for any good diving anyway, therefore I've enjoyed a wider variety of locations visited than say a Miami or Los Angeles resident, but not this one in my own backyard. The best time to go seems to be mid-summer, and I have always had family conflicts then, but - my daughter's family wants to do our family trip in June this year and my next one is not until Sept, so this just might work for me.

Another challenge for me is not wanting to drive down from the Panhandle nor rent a car for 6 days. Anyone know about possible shuttle services between Houston's Intercontinental airport and there? I could arrive early on the 5th if needed.

Yeah I know: I've been branded a non-group person - doesn't play well with others. I am so upset. Posted Image Let me know if you want to have some fun, without the drama - I'm good for that.

There are a number of locals who are going to try to do airport pickups. I've also offered up my beach house in Galveston as a place to hang out before heading to the boat, as hanging out at the restaurant in Freeport for hours gets old quick. So I'm sure something can be worked out.

Just get yourself to the airport DandyDon. Fly into Hobby instead of Intercontinental, if you can.

This is for Don and anyone else who will fly into Houston for the FG trip, if you can get yourself to Houston and let us know here what time you will be in, somone will come get you at the airport. As SP just pointed out, it would be better to come into Hobby but if you have to come to IAH, that is okay too.
