Wish I could help. I had to do a resume' last week for the F.A.A & they sent it back and told me I had to add more specific info! This was for a position change within a company I have worked for ,for the last nine years. Before and including my current job the previous four jobs I was just able to make two or three phone call's and I got a job. To me resume' is not as important as who you know. Network Deb. Jimmy

Why would anyone in their right mind want to write a resume? Resumes are used to find W-O-R-K. You know, J-O-B-S. Both of those are four letter words. I just don't understand!

Anyone got some good pointers on Resume's? It's been a while for me since I've had to do a professional resume so I'm not certain on what employers look for anymore.

Thanks!

Deb

Read it out loud! You will often not find awkward language in your writing until you read it aloud.

Well, the looonnng vacation's over at last.... time to return to the Real World!

Do we have any members in the Dallas area that write resumes professionally? I'd talked to someone in a restaurant in Fiji about it, and your name has since totally slipped my mind. :D It's been an interesting time 'till now.

It's been 16 to 17 years since I wrote my last one, and I'm sadly out of practice. I'm looking for an Engineering Tech (electronics) / junior Engineer job in the Dallas area, preferably Richardson or Carrollton. I already have a list of prospective companies to look at, just need someone to write a resume that looks like it was written in this century... :D

BTW, I'm looking to pay for it, I'm not begging for a freebie!

PM or e-mail me, s'il vous plaît! The e-mail is (my screen name with the underscore) at singledivers.com

:)

Hey Stan - I think that was me & Ari (vettenorlando) discussing the resume and resume search engines at the pizza place in Fiji.

I can certainly give you some pointers, but I don't write resumes professionally.
