Wish I were going to be in Vancouver then. Should be a great talk. Hey, Caetllonn... you should go to see the beauty of these critters.

Hey Gray,

I noticed your (and mine, Michelle's and Eric's) posts are all missing from this thread. :lmao:

To answer your question as to what I learned from the presentation other than nudis are into cannibalism, acid and orgies...

From what I can remember:

- I believe they're beneficial somehow to the removal of that algae that has run wild in California (as well as in the Meditterranean).

- They may be of some use in developing treatments for diseases such as Alzheimer's.

- Their ability to mimic (and be mimicked) is amazing! There are some nudis that look like plants and there are some creatures that look like nudis. (Sorry, but I don't remember any of the names, although I do recall a nudi that *screamed* a certain type of algae, I think. :twist:)

Two websites Dave Behrens recommended for nudi fans are:

www.slugsite.tierranet.com

www.seaslugforum.net

He also has a website, www.seachallengers.com that boasts over 250 titles on the following:

- marine fishes
- marine mammals
- dive guides
- invertebrates
- reptiles
- plants and algae
- underwater art books
- identification guide sets
- children's books

If you're interested in nudibranches and Dave Behrens is coming to your town, go see him! He's extremely knowledgeable and quite entertaining! :lmao:
