Hey People,

I know the chances are pretty slim. But I am going to Tokyo on Business April 19th - 23rd and would love to meet up for drinks/grand tour if anyone is so inclined. :diver:

Let me know!
Vanessa

p.s. I am there over the weekend ... so diving might be a possibility! ;) Any suggestions?

I guess Little Tokyo in Los Angeles isn't where you are heading. My understanding is that the best diving is off the southern islands and Okinawa.

DrBill,

Little Tokyo wasn't exactly what I had in mind! :-D But, you have my gratitude for actually responding to this post -- as 1) I have no idea where the diving is in the area, and 2) I was so sure no-one would respond.

So, :P

I found this website -- but not quite sure the exchange rate, but any time I see more than 3 000's.. I think SUPER expensive. :teeth: http://www.outdoorja...tokyoscuba.html But they are English speaking and they pick you up.. Go figure... I also found the DIR site for Japan.. :banghead:

"Scuba Diving in Japan?!
Okay, so Japan may not be the first country that comes to mind when you think of scuba diving. But in fact, the country has over 2,000 dive spots. And with the Japanese archipelago ranging from the sub-tropical Okinawa to the almost arctic cold of northern Hokkaido, there is sure to be something for every kind of diver. In particular, in addition to warm weather all year round and equally warm people, the southern island prefecture of Okinawa provides world-class scuba diving."
