So what's the present count on people going to Roatan and what is the maximum number that can go? Does everyone meet in Houston or at the reeort?

Ummmm, Super One, last time I looked I believe your diving habit was financed by Uncle Sam's wallet.

Not sure about all the logistics. WW will get with you on that but she will try and get bulk fare out of Houston. Otherwise just get yourself there. Whichever you get the best deal and most direct route.

Gosh you guys are awesome! BB is right....I'm working on a bulk airfare out of Houston cheaper then the $544 ONCE I know who all is going and if they are using Continental or Taca. General consensus seems to Continental BUT its still too early to tell.

Since all flights to Honduras HAVE to go via Houston then the plan will be to meet in Houston for those that it makes sense to do and/or meet in Honduras any way you can get there. Once people find routings etc. I'll have the hotel meet us at the airport with signs based upon who arrives when. They will then transport to the Hotel where I'll already be and/or will be shortly. I'll be on whatever flight out of Houston that the majority of people are taking.

As for people going...we have 2 ways for you to keep aprised of who is going. 1) Go to the first post in this thread and look at the bottom for the list of people who have committed to going. 2) You can look at the reservations in the booking system I use called Aquatrix to see how many people show up on the boat. That usually represents the people who have paid me already to get the early bird discounts.

The trip will run REGARDLESS of how many people we have going but we already have 6-7 people going so far or in the process of finalizing time off from work etc. so that will only grow as we get closer to the trip.

As for maximum number that can go? Right now I can take 30 people which would ROCK if we had that many going.

Did I answer all your questions???? Thanks to all for making this so much fun ALREADY....gosh I can't wait til I get to dive with some of you for the first time and many of you for the second or multiple time!!!

And we even have a bubble watcher going so feel free to encourage other bubble watchers to go as there are lots of fun things to do in Roatan besides just dive!!!!

When I was there, they couldn't make direct flights. The airport had a dirt runway, so we had to fly in from the mainland on DC 3's. I loved it. It was on TACA and we had no problems at all.

I've flown TACA twice once to Roatan and once to Belize City. Never had a problem on either trip.
