We are trying to do some local marketing here and need some bright ideas. So put up what you think and why? or vote for one that is already on the list! But we are trying to get something that encompasses divers and non-divers alike!
1) We are trying to advertise our happy hour night at Clare and Don's Beach shack.
Current Suggestions:
Narcosis Night -- Not water related enough -- don't want to exclude anyone?
Water Sports Night -- uhh.. not really sure I want to go there? This was so Jen's idea!
Dive Night -- too much?
2) The management at Clare and Don's offered to let us name our own shot and we need some ideas! so hit us up!!!

as for a name for the event narcosis night sounds pretty good
as for the drinks being a bartender myself you would be amazed at the names some please call drinks and what they miss call them.
as for drinks a wet dream is already a named drink (by looks it orginally came from the left coast, and my buddies agree), but narcosis is one that i could not find even after asking several friends who have been doing this for years (if not decades)
the following is for a wet dream
Wet Dream
Ingredients:
* 1/2 oz Amaretto
* 1/4 oz Blue Curacao
* 1/4 oz Creme de Banane
* 1/4 oz Sweet and sour
* 1 splash Pineapple juice
* 1/4 oz Chambord raspberry liqueur
Mixing instructions:
Mix all ingredients except Chambord. Chill and strain mixture into a martini glass. Float Chambord to the bottom of the glass.
if you want help coming up with a drink or shot let me know and i will help you out. to bad im not closer or i would attend.

also may need to ask the wench if we can do some ritas texas style (well at least tooth style- smooth all the way).
if you have ideas or requests for drinks post them on the NC thread and i will start to put together a list of supplies needed, and everything can be worked out from there.

Both of these suggesting are coming from a dive trip a quite a while back…. Back when the Spanish Wells Bahamas was not a dry (obviously!)
While staying on the island we located a small bar that was literally the basement of a local. Yes, the basement… The house was built into a small hill. They took part of the lower level that was built into the hill and made a bar. Dirt floors, a small bar, and some couches and chairs. Game tables and ring toss too. To use the restroom, you “go up the steps, (pass thru the living room) and take a right!” It was the family bathroom! It was directly across from our dive dock and we just stumbled upon it.
We were a group of 5. We went in one afternoon and had a great time. Drinks and games with the locals. After that, every afternoon when we would come in after a day of diving, the bartended, a very large and jovial local, would greet us with a huge smile – “Are ya back for a Surface Interval Mon”?
Hence, Happy Hour name suggestion: Surface Interval
As for Shots:
The same bartender was mixing us “shots” (in about a 3 oz glass). On our last day on the island, with no diving left, we all were just right to party. He started mixing the same shots for us. After a couple of hours, we looked over at Ken to realize that he had passed out on a couch in the corner. Our bartender quickly picked up on it, pointed and shouted out “Diver Down Mon”!
Hence, the shot was nicknamed “Diver Down” and we always raised our glasses and called out “Diver Down Mon”!
The best we have been able to duplicate it follows:
1/2 oz. 151 proof rum
1 oz. Malibu
1/2 oz. Peach schnapps
1 oz. Cranberry juice
1 oz. Orange juice
1 oz. Pineapple juice
Put in a shaker with ice. Shake well, pour and enjoy!
But be careful. They’ll sneak up on you… you could be the “Diver Down Mon!”

yeah that would do that as the first ingredient told me what it could do. those are the type of bars that i like in that they are getting harder and harder to find.
That drink also has another name but i think the diver down is fine
if you have to know what the other name is follow the link http://www.webtender.com/db/drink/2131
