Anyone been to Irian Jaya?....I am looking to replace that with Timor...would like any info for that location.

Jill I am relentless in finding the finest diving in the world! The Caribbean just does not do it for me. Irian Jaya now known as Papua…it has a couple of resorts on it plus liveaboards….It is some of the finest diving in the world….Just spoke with a lady who was there 6 months ago…and returned from Palau a couple of days ago….So my question was…how did it stack up to Palau?...She said it was not quite as good as Palau…but still some of the best diving she has done!...topography looked a lot alike Palau…some different stuff in the waters….saw more of some things and less of others….
So looks like a Homerun if I can work my flights out of Bali…still prefer Timor....But mini revolution going on there...Wakatobi cannot not work in my schedule due to their flights....plus they have a lot of smaller stuff...and I like the Big stuff...
