I have not had the pleasure of meeting Kimber, but I know she is an active member of this board
and an active diver that adds value to the sport of diving.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Kimber and I wish you a speedy recovery.
Get well soon,
Cornel

Sunday morning update from family...

"Kimber has opened her eyes... She has had some movement and has even cracked a smile. She has shown signs of response, although it's not a definite signal of recovery.

Every single step no matter how small is a positive sign Keep praying."

That is great news. Thanks for the update. Kimber's and my mutual dive buddy wasn't at our gathering yesterday so this is the latest news I've heard. A good sign!

Best wishes for a fast and speedy recovery!!

None of us like to hear these kinds of things, but when we do, the power of prayer is powerful indeed

I will be certain to remember her in mine .

Dive_Girl,

I found that the family is and will be in need of assistance financially to help take care of Kimber's home and children while she is hospitalized and during subsequent recovery; and with the costs not covered by insurance. There are three different ways that we can contribute. One was a direct deposit to a Washington Mutual account, another via paypal, and yet another via check through snailmail. No matter what size contribution, every little bit helps her family and will allow them to focus their attention where it's needed - on Kimber.

This is terrific news - now we can really help!

Thanks!

Twinklez

GREAT!!! I can tell you from recent experience, it's a wonderful feeling to see those first signs of response, and to see them give way to more responsiveness... and then to normalcy...

My mom narrowly escaped diabetic coma last Wed. night, and she was locked inside a non responsive body for a few hours. I was holding her hand when she made her first signs of response... and it was a fantastic time, and when she was again able to move her lips and speak her first words... we were greatly relieved.

My prayer for Kimber is that she will soon show all signs of respnsiveness and regain normal function. Not knowing the nature of Kimber's condition, I simply pray and believe for the cause for her symptoms to be resolved and that her signs and symptoms will return to normal... and that we will soon have Kimber's delightful posts to read on the board again! GO KIMBER!!!
