Hangovers hurt more than they used to! :birthday:
But my poison is Wild Turkey and Coke.

Try changing your drink of choice to a liquor that is cleaner with less impurities. try rum or vodka with a mixer (not coke thats just bad)

Why would there be impurities in whisky and not rum? Vodka hurts my stomach and I'm not much of a wine drinker except Cabernet occasionally. I can hardly drink "TO KiLL YA" anymore, maybe a margarita or two. :teeth:

Tequila im not even going to go there because I know tequila can cause the worlds worst hangovers, especially if its the cheap stuff that hasnt aged very long. This is from personal experince, and this is why i stay away from any of the silver tequilas and only go with anejos and reposados.

The impurity levels in those liquors is less compared to others. the impurities come from the way different alcohols are allowed to ferment items distilled in metal stills will have less impurities then alcohols distilled in barrels then also the amount of time they are allowed to age makes a difference as more time means a more complete fermentation process the more complete it is the less the impurities (this varies depending on the base material - agave, sugar cane, potato, peat, etc.

Despite what people say there will never be a hang over free alcohol just isnt going to happen because of the dehydration it does to the body.

Also YMMV this is just my experience from working behind the bar

Adding the Seattle version of the Washington Apple, which I always take on trips (and many of you have sampled!) :lmao:

1 shot Crown Royal
1 shot Sour Apple Pucker
1 shot 99 Apples
cranberry juice

You can drink this neat, or on the rocks

Oh, yes it does! I'll get rum punch fixins at the Duty Free in Houston, but this stuff comes from home and goes in my checked bag.

It's the holidays, so it's time to find out what the new crop of SD'ers are mixing up at their holiday parties!

Here's my recipe for Rum Punch (makes enough for two....or one drink that will last you for a long time!) :cool2:

1 shot Captain Morgan's Spiced rum
1 Shot Coconut Rum (either Malibu or Parrot Bay)
1 shot Pineapple Rum
1 shot Mango Rum

Any number of mixers, or combination thereof:
Light Hawaiian Punch, or
Mixed Berries juice
Orange Juice & Pineapple juice (use together)
Pineapple/Orange/Banana juice

I ran across this in Toronto earlier this year, and have made it on occasion ever since.

Pearl Harbor

1oz Melon liqueur (I use Midori)

1/2oz Creme de Banana liqueur

Pineapple juice to taste

Place in a shaker with ice, strain into a chilled martini or other glass.

Sounds interesting! I have some Midori, and some 99 Bananas. Suppose I could swap out?
