Hey, I'll be a four hour drive from DC starting just after Christmas - so, if this still happening after the first of the year, I'll have to make the drive up for a couple.

That is great news, Ali. I'm looking forward to see you again. I assume that you will probably move to Langley AFB.

I will be at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. I'm looking at buying a place either in NE Suffolk or somewhere in Chesapeake. I originally thought I'd like to live in VA Beach, but I think the commute from there would be more than I'd want to deal with.

Yeah, VA Beach is a great area but a long commute.
Ali, when you get here you have to join us on the Morehead, NC trips too. They are so cool.

Well, we'll let you down slowly since you are moving from Hawaii! But NC diving really is awesome! :cheerleader:

Hey guys,

Just found this board so I'm jumping on... well... board :lmao:.

How have the happy hours gone so far? I live in Arlington, so I guess I'll try and make it this next Tuesday and meet some fellow divers.

:lmao: to SD naeshy!!

Have a wonderful time at the Happy Hour, but since not all of us can make it there to meet you it would be superb if you posted an intro in our New to SingleDivers.com Forum so our other members can get to know you and give you a proper SD welcome!

I'll repost this in this thread, as it's probably more on topic here:

As far as happy hour, who are the "adventure/water sports" people on the 2nd/4th Tuesdays? We talking water skiers? If so, then showing up tonight will probably put me in the wrong place... although I did just pull my hamstring trying to water ski . Go me!

So August 1st are the divers? Count me in, but my buddy's bday is that day too, so I might be doing some cameos.

Sure did. Still owe you for your bday! But you do have to show up first!

WreckGoddess and ariesno1 - one of our fabulous new Divemasters is headed your way to attend John Hopkins. She leaves next week and I really want her to have a group of divers she can connect with as soon as she gets there. I've raved about SD's most fabulous DC group and hope she'll be a welcome addition. And any stories she shares about me - they are ALL UNTRUE!
