Also I show Regulus and Doc diving BOAT TANKS...100's. The boat only has hp120's but they are DIN only 300 bar so they won't take plugs/adaptors. The boat offers 80's for yolk OR if anyone has some yolk or 200 bar din in the 95/100 range can they PLEASE help us out?

Thanks gang!

Also if you have not sent your food preferences to us by tonight we will not be able to honor them. Kim must have them as the boat gave us a reprieve if we sent it this evening. He has a short window to shop tomorrow so he must get it tonight.

I ONLY show Manny and Howard diving HE and only Manny has advised me how much gas/mix he will need. Need to know if anyone else is diving it or we won't have enough 02 and He.

If diving nitrox you are fine. If bringing your own tanks you are fine.

We do have one limitation and that is only 1 set of doubles per person but you can bring 1-2 stage bottles if diving doubles.

Let us know in the thread or via pm or email if you have any issues. Thanks Kamala

I will also be diving Helium up to 21/35 trimix in one or two tanks. My rebreather also needs pure oxygen in one tank at all times, and that cannot be diluted. So, please have the boat bring plenty of O2.

Kamala,
My reg is yoke, so I can't do DIN. That limits me to what, 80s?
I'm perfectly sane. I can't help it if the world is nuts!

It limits you on the boat to 80's but I just got a pm from a member that can pick you up a tank when they get their doubles if you want it. I will pm you the particulars.

WW,

I'm good with 300 Bar DIN. Apeks Black Pearl regulator. 120cf just more tank than I usually need. Probably will not be needing any weight with one...

thanks,

William

I have voyager on my laptop. It will be interesting to see how the profiles vary.
I might bring a set of travel bands for independent doubles to take advantage of Nitrox tanks on the boat. This dependant on how many of the boats 120's are available after we overload the boat. They might have to jettison some weight. Not to worry. I can always leave stuff in the car.
I will match gas in my doubles and fill with 21/35 and dilute them as the weekend goes by. I will also be bringing my stage bottles with O2. I will use the boats Nitrox tanks to stage if we plan any long run times.
I can have my HE analyzer if the boat does not have one.
Do we know about an HE analyzer on the boat?
This is going to be a blast. :usflag:

There's only so much that I can specify. If the boat tells me what each dive on the trip will be, then I can tell you the mix for each dive. If not, I can't say until we are planning that dive.

So, the only thing I can think of is for the boat to bring enough of everything that I can do this kind of mix on most every dive. That's all I can say without knowing more.

If they have a booster, that will make things easier since I won't have to potentially dump gas to mix for the next dive.

Great! They are HP120's so won't weigh that much! Now to help Doc out! Cool!

Boat Updates:

Alcohol:

Beer and Wine are served with dinner and you can BYOB anything else that you wish to drink. (Sodas and juice will be avail for mixers.)

Trimix:

The boat DOES have a trimix analyzer

:cool1: Pre-Boarding HookUp & Official SD.com Happy Hour: :P

Note: Early boarding will not be available. We board at 9:30pm.

I went ahead and got a hotel/day room so that we'd have a place to hang out until we can board the boat. We are only 2.1 miles to the Marina from the hotel. We will be at:

Red Carpet Inn - Airport
2460 State Road 84
Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport
Fort Lauderdale FL 33312

It has several restaurants nearby so we can plan to eat before the trip and we'll have BYOB in the room for anyone wanting to relax....get together with other SDer's or just freshen up after traveling for this trip. I know that Regulus will be arriving around 4:30 at the airport and I arrive a bit earlier in the day so will get the room set up. Bill aka OTWDiver is arriving about the same time I am so we can get the room and try to get Regulus at the airport. (Not sure there is a hotel shuttle or not but it is only 4 miles from the airport so the hotel is very close and its 2miles to the boat departure point.)

Also if you need to store expensive gear such as rebreathers, I am supposed to have a downstairs room with direct parking in front of the door so that you can easily store any valuables in the room with us until departure time.

We will collect boat taxes ($15 pp and 4% Bahamians Departure Tax); collect waivers and 'Medical Envelopes'; give out rooming assignements; etc.

We plan to caravan from the hotel to the boat at 9:15 so we can board at 9:30pm. By socializing first we'll be able to board the boat, stow our stuff, do our boat briefings, set up gear and get ready for a fantastic trip!

Directions to the Boat:

If for any reason you are late in arriving and need to go directly to the boat here are the directions. (If you get lost please call me at 214-350-7003 and it will ring my celfone!)

The boat is at Billfish Marina. Take 95 to SR84. The service road is called Marina Mile and runs along SR84. Going west on the service road you'll see the marina. Go past it. Go Right at the next gate which has Pipe Welders on the Left and Weston Marina on the Right. You'll see some contruction area and a security guard. Tell him you want Ocean Explorers slip #41. You'll then be directed to go between the buildings and you'll see a construction trailer marked Barley Brown Marina on it. The boat should be visible at this point and is at the first dock on the left.

Another Set of Directions:

Start address: Red Carpet Inn Hotel 2460 SR-84 (E)
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312

End address: Billfish Marina
2965 W State Road 84, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312

Distance: 2.1 mi (about 2 mins)

Directions

1. 1. Head east from SR-84 E - go 0.8 mi
2. 2. Bear left and head toward SR-84 W - go 0.1 mi
3. 3. Turn hard left at SR-84 W - go 1.2 mi
