Hi, Keith! :birthday:

Thanks for your ride offer! Glad to know you'll be joining us at our HH! Which day will you be coming? Do tell us how to sneak in beer at DS! I'll be smuggling vodka and light rum in the form of 'watermelons.' :birthday:

Best,

Jemiah :birthday:

Is everyone staying in tents or are there hotels near by? Maybe I can get some guys from VA to make the trip too. If not for the diving, for the 'watermelons!'

You got the tank but you'll need more lead besides what I have.

You know Ray, I've been insulted by better people than you. :welcome: Anyone got a spare anchor for my fat butt?

Not implying you have a big butt or anything, I can bring extra weight if you need some. Cheers Keith

Hey, Vinny! :D

You are more than welcome to share a tent with us and partake of the 'watermelons!' :birthday: But why wouldn't you be diving? To experience all of the fun you should also camp out with us! We do have another tent available for 4, to accommodate those not already attending. But if you prefer to not rough it (although I can't see how, since you're a diver in uniform and probably more used to it than I am), there are a couple of hotels on DS's website--click here. Glad you're interested in joining us and hope to see you and your friends there! :welcome:

Best,

Jemiah

Hey, Keith!

Thanks for the offer on the ride and regs. Someone may need both, but it won't be me. :D I'm actually driving down with 2 others at present and have room for one more. I'm going to attempt my first dive in the quarry with a 7MM wetsuit, so I envy your warm drysuit! :D I'm sure others will be diving dry, too.

Looking forward to meeting you and other drysuiters! :welcome: Make sure you bring enough beer for the wet divers too! :P

Nope, I'd be diving...thats why I got my drysuit! I was poking a little fun at some of my fellow VA divers who don't like the quarries. Everytime I tried to get some of them to hit our local quarry all I got was "It's too cold" or "I don't do quarries."

Let me do some planning and see if I can swing by Westchester County and visit my mom before I head to Dutch; or maybe visit after the dive.

Hope to see everyone there.

Looks like my brain started working today...gonna have to miss the Saturday dive along with the night dive, will try to make it on Sunday though, forgot I am going on an overnighter to the Northern Pacific:

http://www.njscuba.n...rn_pacific.html

The plan is to arrive Friday night, head out to the wreck, be there by morning, get two dives in and get back by night time Saturday. If it all works as planned I will try to get up to Dutch on Sunday morning.

I'm kinda bummed as it would have been nice to hang with you SD'ers, on the other hand....can't wait for the trip!

On a side note: I can bring a set of doubles, backplate, wing if anyone was thinking about wanting to try them out. Had some other gear to lend (lights, etc.) but kind of a mute point now that I will not be there Saturday night.

Mark, we're so going to miss you at the start of our 2nd HH, being that you helped jump start the 1st HH! :thankyou:

But I do hope you enjoy diving the Northern Pacific. And I'll save some watermelon for you on Sunday! :cheerleader:

Well I guess it's a good thing the July event wasn't "Tubing down the Delaware" or diving on the train wreck in Delaware water gap this weekend, the river is expected to be 14' over flood stage. Anybody building an ark?

:hiya:

I just wanted to update you on the bbq situation. We will not be using the picnic pavilion in order to cut down on per person costs. I'm sure you'd rather spend the extra $ to get refills of air to dive again and often--I know I would! :diver: We will, however, be setting up the bbq at the campsite complete with our own grill, captains' chairs, 'watermelons' and yummy eats prepared by our able Chef Bubbleboy. :diver: We just need to get an idea for what all of you want on the menu. Then we'll spread the costs out per person based on what we are bbq'in! Who said that it has to cost much to get SDers together and have fun?! Not me!

Looking forward to the HH! I'll do a roll-call in a couple of weeks! :cool1:

Best,

Jemiah :cheerleader:

There are motels in nearby Easton and Allentown (yes, the Allentown in the Billy Joel song). When I've done an overnighter, I've generally stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Allentown.

I may actually be able to at least show up for a few dives on this HH. I only live 1 hour from Dutch and I have it on my calendar.

Which end is up?

Jemiah :(

I suggest we keep the main course simple picnic food, i.e., hot dogs, burgers, salads, fruit, cheese, soda, etc. We might even want to go with cold sandwiches if we are going to do lunch. That way no one will starve if I accidentally burn everything on the grill (wouldn't be the first time).

If anyone wants something a little more exotic, they can just bring it with them. I'm going to try smuggling in a bottle of Champagne. (I hope the DS operators aren't reading this board) :)
