For an update on the weather first off, we didn't have a drop of rain all weekend.. those storms which everyone thought were going to hit, passed right by or went around us..
Those who went diving I believe had a great time, Sonny's shrimp boil was out of this world and he even did some stuffed with cheese and peppers then grilled them... YUMMMY!!!!!!!!!
The second night for dinner, Kamala had this awesome feast for everyone and I think everyone was so full from both nights nobody attempted to do any night dives, but instead hung around the Hot Tub..
It was a great weekend had by all!!!

I suppose it's my job to tell the Friday night story. All is well. The tents went up. The food was fabulous. A nice warm fire. Hot tubbing. A lot of drinking. Good conversation. I went to bed early. Hadn't been sleeping enough lately. One of the group, Randy, arrived after dinner. People drifted to bed.
In the morning I stumble out of bed. I think I was asked about potato salad. I plead ignorance. Someone had tossed the contents of the group cooler around. Left the Saturday morning veggies uneaten near our tent, and eaten tomorrow's potato salad without utensils. I hate veggies, so I was on the short list of suspects, along with Buttercup. Did I mention the evidence was found near our tent? Anyway, the guilty party woke up, and to whom our fearless leader said, "So, how was the potato salad?" The response was a brief blank look, and then, "Yeah, it was really good." Confession. Lots of sympathy for Buttercup, who had been framed.
On the way home, the non-diving boyfriend asked questions about what's required to get certifed, and how much equipment you need to own. Yahoo!

I totally agree with you on the fun and the great people! Also we couldn't have had more beautiful weather. Then again I think next time I definatly can't forget the bug spray I got so bit up.. :dltears: but that's my own fault..You know what the best part was? The people. If even one person had been a patoot, the whole trip won't have been any fun.

Uh oh! Talk about getting framed! (get it? camera? framed??) I feel for you, Buttercup.
Seriously, it was great fun and thank you again to everybody for the big birthday surprise which was *totally* unexpected and much appreciated.
It felt really good to get back in the water again, and b2b, skye, james, sandy starfish and randy were all great dive buddies.
Kudos to everybody who worked really hard to make it so fun, and especially Kamala and Sonny -- the food was fantastic as was everything else.
(edit 9/27 - i'll get this right eventually)

The trip was a lot of fun. The food - absolutely fabulous - the grilled shrimp was out of this world!! Even the eggs were okay - Did I forget to mention the 5 second rule applies even out camping!!! The water was great - and I agree with Sophia - the people were the best. Every one seemed to have a good time. Even the non-diving boy friend. Buttercup was a total sweetie too. The weather was great - the water warm and even though one of my buddies had a "hose malfunction" the diving was fun.
Count me in for Halloween!!!!!
