We had an awesome time diving, laughing, diving, eating, diving, drinking, etc etc etc....I can't wait to go back!
The SD photographers on this trip were incredible...you all will be amazed when the winning shots get posted...very impressive!
So who's going to post the quotes from the trip!? (This one's for Kerry - 'And what fertilizer was he using?')

My thanks to my roomy Mike aka WillDiveForBeer ... to all who made this a trip to remember .. to Kamala aka WW who once again did a phenominal job pulling this together and managing to make it a wonderfully hassle-free event ... and to Mandi aka LandLocked- for being a wonderful dive buddy and proving that some of life's doors that seem closed can be opened - unexpectedly at that - again my Thanks.

I can't wait to see the pics everyone took. I hope that we can still put together that consolidated CD sometime soon!!! I would really like to share some of those pictures with my family since I took mostly video. Which I might add is mostly already digitized and I will start editing this week.
It was a pleasure meeting most of you.. hahahaha... just kidding... meeting everyone was great!!! I was very nervous about going away with a group of people I don't know, but I thoroughly enjoyed everyone.
Fiji can only be described as a magical place, and I think Dive Kandavu made it extra special because of its location and service. I can't see how we could have had any comparable experience anywhere else. Its remoteness and relationship with the villages created an awesome stay!!!

Thanks again to all. I had a great time and really wish I were still there and not here back at work.

I have a few "what the @#$% was that" pics that you can delete. I'm sure you will know them when you see them. Hope you weren't affected by that tornadoI may have to prune down the folders to make it all fit on 1 DVD.
I, too, am trying to re-adjust. To civilization as much as the time! It was a great trip. It was great meeting new friends and getting re-aquainted with old ones. The diving was incredible and getting to experience the culture up close like we did is something I will never forget.
And for Mark - "What does it cost to use the internet?" Answer - "$10 Fijian for 10 US minutes. And Sandy - "Take a picture..."
Ari, looking forward to your video.

Thanks Ali. I'll know which pictures to remove, no worries.
My house was not damaged by the tornado. I do not know any of the people that were. Evansville is about and hour west of me and I don't really travel there. We got some really big hail, but that was about it. It's really sad to see though. The pictures I've seen look terrible.

Sandy and I finally got home... 1am Monday. Uugh! The flight from hell. 2 hours late out of LAX, almost an hour holding over Pennsylvania, had to wait for a gate at JFK, then an hour wait to get our bags.
Otherwise, what a great trip! The mantas, the sharks, the coral, the PLF's (pretty little fishes). All amazing! And also a great week with a great group of people. I love the complete disconnect from our home/jobs. No radio, no tv, no newspapers. Rather boogie with the natives though Sandy will be passing on that for a while. Her hip is doing better but she is still walking like a penguin.
I will miss diving with Joeli and Sureli. The Fijian people are just so delightful. Soft spoken, always with a big smile and with friendly Bula!!!
Mandy, you can delete anything that was out of focus, blurred or otherwise, to make room. Right now I'm just trying to figure out why I can't read my portable hard drive. Grrrr. Worked fine until I just tried it now. Glad you and Sonny have backups, just in case.
"They come in festive colors"
"It's a little known fact..."
"Sonny!!! You want some toast?"
"Sonny!!! Is the ceiling fan still on?"
"Sonny!!! Turn out the bathroom light!"
"Focus! Focus!!!"
"Get off my boat!"
"Gar doesn't have a liver"
"Stan, don't forget your fins.... nevermind"
"84 minutes?"
"Take a picture, take a picture, take a picture"
"Manta love"
"Is that a shark?" "Do you mean the one in front of us or the one behind us?"
"Sonny!!! Where are my peanut butter sandwiches?"

By all that is wet, I do hereby swear, (politely), and attest, upon pain of never diving again, (real or imagined), that I understand and affirm, that I agree to the above.
