Full Details below:

Come join us for a Wreck and Reef Fantasy in the Spice Capital of the World and Home of the Carribean Titanic...the Bianca 'C' sunk in the shallow waters off beautiful Grenada teeming with abundant marine life, pristine reefs and corals, and viturally untouched by Hurricane Ivan. (The damage was on the leeward side of the island opposite of where all the diving is!)

We will be staying at a lovely resort True Blue Bay with full service inhouse dive shop and dive boats conveniently docked at the hotel. True Blue took minor damage from the storm and has already rebuilt and remodeled that which was damaged to even nicer accommodations than when I was there last September. And speaking of last September...I was not only able to set up this fantastic dive trip for SingleDivers.com but I was part of a underwater story written on Grenada that is featured this month in the Winter 2004 issue of WreckDiving Magazine. You'll see my blond mugshot several places in the article which I've also attached for everyone to read more about the absolutely fabulous diving in Grenada.
Attached File  Article_WDM_Issue4.pdf   732.41KB   81 downloads

Although the article talks about the wrecks of Grenada...they are VERY easy diving for all diving skills....fully encrusted which means that they are prettier than many of the traditional reefs yet they represent only a fraction of the diving available in Grenada!

This will be a limited space trip...only 16 spots...once the spots are full they are full and it is doubtful we can get more space so don't wait too long to sign up for this one! We'll need at least 7 tech divers for the 'all Bianca C' diving option if you are interested!

Note: Recreational Divers will be on a separate boat from the technical divers.

The Package:

September 16-23, 2006 (Sat to Sat)

This is a very unique opportunity to see a pristine diving destination that has full amenities and infrasture due to its active spice trade and medical university yet has only recently been 'discovered' and becoming popular for its diving. Grenada diving is what Cozumel and other destinations used to be! We'll have optional land tours where you can tour the nutmeg processing factory...the nutmeg farms and countryside...the beautiful waterfalls...and other island offerings! They are well worth it and allow you to really experience the ambiance of the island. You can also extend your trip beyond 7 days as well as add additional diving to your package!

And if you are a technical diver... you'll think you are in diving heaven diving on the Bianca C...the Carribbean Titanic in 165 ft of water to the sand...130 to the deck. If you want to explore her...you'll get 2 dives a day on her with a total of 4 80cf tanks (2 per dive that you can band together with travel bands). Stages with 40% 02 are avail and there may be some limited supply of 80's with 50-100% but we won't know that until closer to the charter date. Diving profiles will only be limited by your experience and training so come and enjoy this unique opportunity to dive the fabulous wreck inside and out!

The Specs:

Diving is with Aquanauts Grenada and we'll be staying at click here for True Blue Bay Resort . See full package details below these summaries.

I won’t miss this trip. Add my name to the list. :taz:
I will be trying to make it a light tech trip with the Bianca C in my sights. I will be doing my best to see her from the inside out. I hope to have several others to join me. I will be running tables to see how the dives and hangs will work with 40% as my deco mix. It might take a little longer but it’s the warm Caribbean and lots to see in clear water. The time should go by nicely. :teeth: :cool2:
I wander if the Bianca C has any nice china to look at like the Andrea Doria. It has to have some nice things sitting around. Not many divers go inside. I know our boat will allow divers inside after they have been down with us and see our skills. No guarantees but they will consider it. I have been looking forward to this trip for a long time. It will be great. :cool1:

Cool! I have asked Bill aka OTWDiver to lead the technical iniatives and he will help you assess your abililty to do the tech option of this trip. The idea is to do all our dives on the Bianca C...or 99% of them. (But yes King Mitch was cool wasn¨t it?

The tech option entails doing 2 dives on the Bianca C using 2 80's banded together and diving independent regs.

What more would you like to know?

The independent doubles ( alum 80’s )will be the rig. It won’t require a lot of lift like steel tanks and we wont have four stage bottles on our sides. Your BC needs to be able to support the tanks out of the water as well. Most manufactures put two holes into there BC’s to give the impression you can dive doubles. This is not the case. They can’t support the weight out of the water.
We are hoping to do progressive penetrations with lines. The dive master reserves the right to make the call as to your entry into the wreck. We have to honor his wishes for each diver. There are rules and this is one rule we will live with. No guaranties on your getting into the deep wreck areas. I like you hope to see her from the inside out. I hope that is the case.
Be aware the Bianca C’ is subject to currents that are strong at times.
There is at this time only 40% max for deco or off-gassing. We hope to find some O2 we can use. As for now, O2 is not available with a reservation. This will be addressed and we will post if there is a change.

Don’t think I will only be diving deep on this wreck I will be cruising some shallow sites and reefs to get some good bottom time seeing other things. Not just hanging out on deco.
I know there will be OW and Adv OW divers enjoying this trip. I think we can put enough divers together to amount to another invasion. :diver: I did not say that. :banghead:
We will have a blast in and out of the water. What about the night life and the resort we are going to be at? Can anyone help me out with some non diving activities. I have some interest from a non diver or two.

BubbleBoy I don't think they have any boats going out at night but as I remember you can dive off the dock at the hotel day or night ?

OTWdiver the True Blue Hotel has alot of activities at night plus right down the street there are a few clubs/bars and in the daytime there is plenty to do. I remember last year a few divers hiked up a mountain and explored a small lake with a waterfall pouring into it or out of it ?. Back in the day Grenada was a Huge colony established by England. Traders and Merchant ships came from around the World for Grenada's precious spice's. Grenada is loaded with History! there is a water wheel that was built by the British well over 200 years ago and is still in operation today. Long story Short I am returning to Grenada to follow-up on the things I didn't have time to see the first trip.

Hey Mike,

We did do one night dive last year. I don't remember the name of the wreck, but most of us didn't see it anyway! We managed to get seperated from the dive master....again
