Well, I missed this happy hour. I called Pocahontas to let her know that my son had a car accident so I was in the ER with him. Sorry about that. Hope you guys had fun.
He is fine. Just a little shook up and really pissed off that he totally smashed up his car. Let's see, he's had his driver's license for about 3 weeks. That's about right for a 17 yo boy! Bwaa haa haaa.
I'm just grateful that no one was hurt or killed. And that he is OK.

Here is the link for the shark dive at the NY Aquarium that we talked about. Sorry for the "public" post, but it won't let me email to you.... :D

What a difference a day makes, the rain had stopped and wind had died, it was a perfect night for a walk through the city which was a good thing because the bus was gridlocked.
Good food, drink, company and conversation on both sides of the river.

Thanks Robin.

This might be a fun way to spend an afternoon.

I had a good time meeting everyone last night too, and look forward to some of the local dive trips we started planning for next season. Hope you can join us on a few of those. An don't forget to take some pics to post on your trip to the Phillipines.

My son did the same thing at about the same age, and later added a second wreck. But then everything changed and he became an excellent driver. Something good will come from your son's experience yesterday! I am so glad all is well.

Sorry to hear about it, Ellen, but I'm glad to hear that he's okay. That's what's important--a car is only steel and can be replaced.

I had a really nice time despite my jog in heels from MSG to Rockefeller center. At first I was bummed out there were no taxis and then I realized I was actually making better time on foot than I would have in a cab.
I've never seen midtown so crowded.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Hey gang what an amazing day. Diving for the brave! WOW am I impressed!!!

Women in heels running in NYE...now THAT was a sight I'm sure as Heidi aka Pocahontas is quite a sight running or not!

Mom's in tears over son's in hospitals...and I am CERTAINLY happy it was only steel that got crushed and your son is ok!

I'd like to thank SoloDiver in NJ for helping to get this whole thing started...FairyBasslett and Pocahontas for getting things into action and helping to organize this event! Special thanks to Lattitude Adjustment and SoloDiver in NJ for their photos...nothing captures the event like pictures!!! And of course I'd like to thank everyone for their participation!

Now hurry up and set the January date! I may even look at joining you all prior to BTS in March!

Make sure thats on one line. I'll try to attach the pics as well.

The first photo is a little place we stopped on the way to Arthurs. Can you guess why it's famous?
