Hello how is everyone doing here? I am single myself. I have been for some time.

I meet women but the relationship never goes anywhere (Bummer).

The pros are: I do what I want, buy what I want, go where I want. The only person I am responsible for is myself. I currently own my own security company. I am working hard to make money so I can afford these extravagant vacations.

I can take a dive trip any time pending on business issues and my Regional officer running the company. Those are the pros.

The cons are: Your always lonely, probably not having sex too often (personal) have no romance, your heart is empty and lonely, don't have the joy from that person in your life. See it goes both ways.

My suggestion is too be happy single or not. Don't deny happiness from this. Make friends, have a great attitude and that will rub off of others. When your not expecting it that person will come.

I would love to meet a nice women from this group that enjoys diving. I'm not holding my breath over it! How do you upload your picture here so people can view me? I tried several times and will not work. Maybe a nice women will be interested in me here. Who knows.

Please feel free to comment from this thread.

Have a nice day and a wonderful dive. I will join you all soon. :birthday:

Hi Dive Guy and welcome to the board! :birthday:

although singledivers.com has many members that are single, it is in fact for buddyless divers - "our only hook ups are to tanks" is the mantra of our founder, Wreckwench. However, some members do find something that lasts beyond the excellent trips you find here. Have a look and get yourself booked on one - that would be a good start :teeth:

To upload your picture, go to my controls (below left to "Gallery icon) then scroll down and on the left, click on "Edit Avatar settings" and upload your pic.

Happy New Year and again, welcome to the board.

Thank you. I was just trying to say in the post is love happens when your not expecting it. I spent a long time upset from not finding it. So I stopped. We can still have fun being single. I want to go on a group dive. Take care.

Many of us have your philosophy......don't hunt for love like a starving person hunts for food, but instead fill your life with fun activities and friendships, and sometimes love just happens. WreckWench has another saying.....if you hook up to another diver and find love while on one of our trips, it's NOT OUR FAULT. And if you DON'T hook up, then it's DEFINITELY not our fault! :birthday:

Welcome to our group! You're in the right place to find lots of friendly divers, of all types. Now you just need to mingle with us, here on the site and at the next Colorado HH, and of course on our trips. It's all about the diving - and the life-long friendships, after all!

Your right about the dating part. I have been turned down from women and do not know why. I am a nice person, enthusiastic, out going. Maybe they were not good for me in the first place. I'm still happy. As a new diver It is cool too join this site and meet other who dive. There is a lot I don't know. I read these horrible stories in the dive mags and the dangers that can happen. I never get to talk to anyone about these accidents. My brother dives in Florida. I have a friend here that dives in Mexico a lot. I want to gain knowledge and advice here and great friends. I look forward on meeting you soon. Take care. :birthday:

Hello and Welcome. SingleDivers is a great group and offers insight in many areas. The group is active with the diving all over from trips to local happenings. If you are coming to visit your brother in Florida maybe you should also check the Florida Dive of the Month (DOM.) The Florida group is pretty active with members from all over the state.

The single/married debate is this simple…

Do you want to be lonely or annoyed? :fish:

Maybe that’s why I’m single? :diver:

Life has pros and cons. I don't see being single as that big of a deal.
It is where I am now. Don't know if it will change or not.

Living life as it's dealt. Change when needed.

Your right. Life is about Pros and Cons. We just live with it. I have a question for you. Are you riding a motorcycle? If so what kind? By the way you are very beautiful. Don't forget that! Take care. :fish:

Just checking in on this thread ... another single here and don't like it most of the time but yes it is kind of nice to be answerable only to yourself!

I am in the process of trying to figure out if I can afford the April "live aboard" trip right now. Looking forward to a good dive trip this year and meeting some new folks.

btw - I ride a motorcycle - HD 2004 Softail ...
Cheers!

I shared this with a bunch of coworkers. A big mix of single and married. There was a big roar of laughter.

I have been married once and engaged another time. Struggled with being single for awhile. When I finally began enjoying the single life, and doing various things that made me happy, I met someone that "so far" is someone I want to keep around for a long time. And she is actually back in colorado and I met her on a trip home, while I am here in new mexico on temporary orders. So, that actually helped with the conversation part of it, being forced to talk on the phone a lot.

Don't rush anything. Enjoy life and eventually someone else will bring more enjoyment.

An old rodeo statement for you that could be applied here....

Maybe we need a new category for SD, “SD members that ride motorcycles.” :)
I have a Harley FLHTC Ultra with over 105,000 miles on it and I have a Honda CBR 1000 (with over 40,000 miles. All the miles are mine.

I call it my “Go Far or Go Fast” combo! :P

Sweetie my guess is you talk about it too much. ;) Those who obsess over something rarely get it in the form they truly desire. And chances are you are scaring the women on this site from ever meeting you in general which makes it MUCH harder to get a date with them or anyone for that matter.

So forget the date angle...pay attention dear...(yes female talking to you here which means you are not supposed to automatically tune out...) :)

Why do I say that? Well you've been on the site active for almost a month. You have been reading tons of threads. You have started new threads on new topics. You have started new threads on old topics (for instance this topic) and you have reactivated numerous topics both old and new by posting in them. However you failed to notice that Debs just joined a couple of days ago and yet you are asking her if she has gotten a date on a site that does not promote dating. :cool2:

So either you really don't get it...or you are obsessing so much on trying to find your true love that you are blind to your actions or you have a one track mind and that track is on another site...its called 'match.com'.

If you want to meet great friends and super fellow divers both men and women...then you have found the right place. If you are looking for a date then you really need to find a place that offers that option.... eharmony, match.com and others are a better fit for you.

I hope this helps you in your journey...I'm not saying that being here is a dead end to finding someone who you might click with romantically...but since it is NOT our focus but rather yours...the timing will never click and you'll only be frustrated.

So check out the dating sites...and when you are certified and ready to JUST DIVE...come check us out! Good luck sweetie...I'm sure there is someone out there for you...but she may not be a diver...so don't limit yourself to a site that only caters to divers! :P
