Depending on the time, the water temp, and the gear I own, I'd love to have a dutch springs dive. Keep in mind i'm currently open water only, so as much as I'd love to go deep and accrue some deco obligation, I'll have to keep it tame. I will, however, bring good beer if there's any extra at my place. Actually, thats a great idea. I've 2 aluminum 80's, i'll trade beer for borrowing a 3rd from someone. Or a HC steel.

Just a side note: alcohol is not permitted at Dutch Springs. As a matter of fact you can be thrown out and season pass pulled. Not to say we couldn't enjoy a beer elsewhere but on the grounds it is not permitted.

That would be awesome! Thanks. I'm just one of those people who likes to get as much diving in as possible, and I don't want to feel limited by two tanks.

Alright. I do feel a bit better knowing that you can enjoy dutch without deco, I just don't want to feel left out.

As for AOW, I am actually working on it this summer with my local ds.

Finally, on the subject of beer. I did not know you can't have alcohol at dutch springs. So thanks for the heads up.

Can we start throwng out dates? The Wench has got me in full newsletter mode and I'd love to add our excursion to the next newsletter.

Jerry I know your gonna be off in Truk/Palau for a bit (I'm jealous), so when is a good time for you? Should we stick to the DUI days (May 21-22)? athough that's a tough weekend for me.

Anybody else have dates they would like or dates that won't work?

Make sure you never run out of Erica!

Later is better for me (after april). Again, no wetsuit, but the latter this trip happens the more likely that I'll have one.

Sweet. So it's looking like May 21-22 it is. I'm thinking diving is more important than packing :teeth: So I'm in. Let me shoot tankboy26 a text and see what he's up to that weekend.

Will, this will be awesome for us divers that don't have coldwater gear because DUI will be there that weekend with dry suits we can test out.

Make sure you never run out of Erica!

OK, you've got the dates settled. Firm up the other plans....where to meet, what time of day, what to bring, what you're going to do after the dive(s) just in case someone can come for eats/drinks but not the diving, and then we can put together an email blast for your region.

Ok, that sounds great, but i've never used a drysuit, and certainly do not have certification for it.

Nor do I have an additional LP hose on my regulator to connect to a dry suit.

Me neither but thats what DUI dog days are for. They bring the equipment and we try it out. No cert needed.... right? Pir8 will know the answer to this he's an instructor that will be there.

Don't worry Will we should be good, if not we'll be the coldest divers there!!!! :wakawaka:
