I did Australia with SD 5-6 years ago back when Explorer Ventures ran a boat down there. It was sold about six months later and I don't think SD has been back since. The current boats are too large for SD to take the entire boat.
But I would like to go back sometime. But it might be easier from the Papau New Guinea side to get where we were planning to go back.

Was in Eastern Australia in 1985. If I were to go back, I'd like to go to Perth & the rest of the West. Personally, though, there are a ton of other priorities.

Australia has been hit hard by MILLIONS of divers. And the boats that remain diving the Great Barrier reef are very large... 24 is the smallest and 36 is the other operator. They run 3, 4 and 7 day itineraries so you spend LOTS of time backtracking and swapping out dive groups and divers. 
Another part of Australia could be fun but as others have said...the GB has come and sadly gone...other places are far nicer diving for better pricing.

I was actually reading about the Red Sea right after I asked about Australia. No Biggie! You guys are the experts. My job is just to make the dough to go and leave the rest to you.
