Hey gang, I've got a question for you. Who has a nice Rescue / Marker strobe light. I'm looking to replace my old air force strobe. I use it to mark the up line when doing a boat dive at night. or just as marker to keep my orientation on a broken up wreck at night. also as a just in case you surface away from the boat. Tied off to the top of my sausage it can be seen for miles. Does anyone have a recommendation I'm leaning toward a Xenon bulb due to the brightness. I'm going to wait until Beneath the sea to get one but wanted to see what others think Thanks in advance.

Each wreck has a tale to tell about its life and its demise.
If you are observant while diving in dark places listen to the account each has to tell, You cannot come away unaffected.

Hi Bill! thanks for the input. I wonder how the lumens compare between the two types of bulbs. The Xenon bulb will be brighter but they are expanding the LED technology it seems like daily. I'll look at BTS if I don't get up to Mid Atlantic scuba before that.
Anyone else have experience with these?

Hi Jerry, I am in the market for bright and reusable night dive markers myself especially after the nightly dives on the Belize Liveaboard trip. I prefer to review in person rather than guess at Internet ads, I have found that is a challenge in the scuba hinterlands of South Ga, Even Fla. panhandle shops have little on hand in the way of modern night dive beacons, but are usually overstocked with disposable Cyalume sticks of all colors. I am looking forward to learning what you find out!
Also thanks to Bill for the Tektiite tip above - checking it out now...
Finally broken to the plow and harnessed to the traces. How may I help you today? Questions welcomed to charlies@singledivers.com

This is the one I have. I have used it in Truk and Palau and in florida. it is not designed to dive with and I've flooded two of them over the years. but i can't get any more and the last one had a bit of a leak the last time i took it diving so it will not survive many more salt water baths. Do a Google search on rescue strobe lights then click on images. That's where i started to look. lots of options. Let's see if anyone else has an opinion...
