I was wondering the same thing... I think Moose is the holder of the more interesting of the photos, and it sounds like he's been busy recently, though.

I expect to have my new micro camera for the Philly/South Jersey meet, but looking at the attendee list for that event, I expect there'll be fewer interesting photos there.

I can vouch for Moose being busy lately. First he had to miss the Sharkwater premiere due to recovering a body in a river in Philly... then has been rescueing people all over NJ from flood waters. He was on TV NBC 11pm news last night, and he told me that he had not been home for 3 days, and he too had loads of water in the house. You can see him onTV4 video clip for rescues in NJ floods. (Sorry I can't give the exact site, as I am at work, and the *&%*# firewall here will not let me to see the clip :D )

I say we give him one day to dry out his house and then raid the camera card! :D

I believe the specific link is here. Starts around 11:45 on the countdown timer.

(And I'd suspected there was a payoff as well, until I saw cmt's post)

Yeah, I talked to him last night and he's been quite busy. I don't watch TV news so thanks for posting the clip. He had told me about it but I had missed it.

You Rule, Moose!!!

Hey, I'm checking in for a few minutes. Sorry I couldn't get a "Singledivers" plug in!

Yes, I've been busy with the floods only to come home to my own flooded house. I'm way behind in work and things, and the Passic river is set to crest at 1400hrs today! No rest for the wicked.

BTW, spending the day on Sat jetskiing around the Ben Franklin bridge was fun as well. :fish2:

In case any of you are wondering, being in a dry suit for almost 3 days straight, in contaminated water, without a shower, can make unearthly smells!

Actually, no. I came home to a flooded basement. I spent all night working on that into the next morning.

I had to use a neighbor's shower to finally get cleaned off. I don't know what is the approprate gift for "Decontaiminating onesself" in a neighbors shower, but I need to do something REALLY nice for them. :lmao:

Moose,

Depending upon how significant the "decontamination" you required (and with three days in drysuit and probably the same undergarments, peeeeuuuuu) ... perhaps a good gift would be a professional "decontamination" of said shower and bathroom! :lmao:

Seriously, the skin that was exposed to the flood water is starting to peel. Should I be worried? Is it just because of the diesel and gas in the water?

Is there anything I should look out for? I'll be diving in a local pool tonight and should be able to get a good dose of chorine to kill anything I couldn't wash off. :cool1:

you might want to contact the hazmat people to see what they say as they would have the ERG for treatment.

peel as in like dandrif or like peel like a burn?

The pool water should help in drying it out beyond that idunno
