Friday - Dive 1 - the Schurz
We tied up to the site, and the current was challenging. The sun was out and conditions above water were perfect. Below, the currents were pretty strong, the crew estimated 2 knots. The safety rigging under the boat was due for a good workout. The wreck is more debris field than shipwreck, the reel is a must-use for this dive. After a wonderful dive, we were greeted to the calm soul searching sounds of Lionel Richie, as a conspiracy was in process.... more to come on this later.....
Friday - Dive 2 - The U-Boat
Nazi German U-Boat - nuff said....
Dinner with Flo (Caroline) at Skeeter was an experienced. We again closed down the restaurant as she refused to say "Mel...kiss my grits"
Saturday - Dive 1 - The Indra
Weather conditions called for 3-5' seas, and the crowd was expecting the worst from the weather. Unfortunately enough, the calls for "sunny and warm" fell on deaf ears for the first half of the day as overcast clouds and a cool breeze fell upon the area... The Indra is an artificial reef that has been down for a number of years, as represented by the amount of coral growth. The main deck is non-remarkable, as the gems of this wreck lie in the decks below. Large cut-outs have been prepared for divers to easily penetrate swim-throughs through most of the wreck.
Saturday - Dive 2 - The Hutton (possibly the real Pappoose..?!?)
The weather gods must have heard the calling as the sun decided to peak out and make its presence known. The wind was still blowing, but the 3-5' seas never materialized in-shore as anticipated as we experienced calm 1-2' conditions for the day...
This portion was actually written by Tim aka Netmage...
Here is the real scoop from the ladies of SD:
We got a contest for y'all sitting at home missing this trip. First dive took a lot of coordination and planning for our first SD underwater marriage proposal. We had the Ring, The serenading under water music, with his actual voice proposing during the music, Two photographers captured the event, with friends hanging on the line for moral support, a totally surprised lady....and she said YES. Mission accomplished. Now your job is to guess the newly engaged couple. Each one of us will you a clue and the first correct answer win a surprise courtesy from your Benevolent Rulers Number One.
Let the game begin....

...when the smoke clears, I'll bet it turns out one of the pair presently lives west of the Mississippi River, while the other lives east of the Mississippi River....... also, I'll predict both divers will turn out to be VERY experienced divers........

1. It was VERY exciting to finally see Larry aka Orcaman be in multiple video shots as his camera was passed from diver to diver. We are REALLY looking forward to this trip video!
And now for my clue...."All I can say is when he pulled that ring out of his pocket the look on my friend's face was priceless!"

I'm shocked that you would think it was Karen and Larry! From my vantage point, front and center it is safe to say that I had a great view of all the shenanigans. Sleeping next to Karen it is safe to say...
Well, I based my guess on the following:
1. It was VERY exciting to finally see Larry aka Orcaman be in multiple video shots as his camera was passed from diver to diver.
yes, Karen was taken completely by surprise! She never saw it coming
Although, I must say, Kim's *clue* was a little too obvious!
