Being in the Middle East for the better part of the past 2.5 years, I’ve gotten used to not having alcohol. I’ve almost gotten used to not having chocolate deserts.
But I’m reaching a breaking point. Just as I was about start my own Jihad, I found a link, sent from God above to restore my faith in mankind.
I normally don’t ask for people to send anything for me, but this is an emergency.
If you can bake, and are up for a challenge (and want to try, want very well may be the first dessert handed directly from God to man, check out this link!

Now, if you have a soft heart for Soldiers stuck in the Middle East for years at a time, bake a bunch extra and send them to me at…

Have a large group of Guiness drinkers that I hang with.
Adding Whiskey and Baileys can only improve things.
Its been a few years since I shipped cookies to a soldier in the sandbox.

Well Moose, how timely is your post! My secretary just got back from PO as they require a face-to-face for packages these days. Given the 5-8 day turnaround time, you will be in choco-heaven next week.
The Irish Car Bomb delights look, well, delightful but we focused on the Choco-holic Cookies in this package. Just a little something to keep a growing boy growing... We will leave it up to Colleen to work up the Irish ordinance!
BTW, also shipped a package of necessary mags to keep your head happy, too!

Thanks buddy. Mail has been ranging from 6 to 13 days so far. But some packages seem to be even out of that. I think the holidays messed up the mail quite a bit.
I'll be on the lookout for your package. (REALLY, YUM!) Thanks again!

Ok, since you have a batch coming already... I'll wait until next week to ship round two!

Hmmm....I have a batch ready to go as well.

TO paraphrase a Rocky Horror Cat call*...
"We got more 'Shake', then you've got cake!"
Translated, no matter how many of these cupcakes get sent here, there will always be Soldiers willing to scarf them down.
This dessert is a 4 way win. You can't go wrong with them!
Thanks to everyone who can send some!
*- the cat call I’m referring to is when Janet rips a piece of her slip off to bandage Rocky’s cut. The cat call is “I’ve got more hurt, then you’ve got skirt!” (It’s my second favorite cat call from the show. My first favorite is a personal creation of mine and will only be shared during a viewing of the film!)
BTW, if you have no idea what I’m talking about then you are either so old that you are the third drawing from the left on the evolutionary chart or you are too young to ever remember going to a movie to act out a play! (Back when movies often sucked and we had to make our own fun.)

Don't you really mean those of us that remember 'pre-DVD' and had the stamina to party BEFORE going to the Midnight Show at the theater?

There is however plenty alcohol in this corner of the Middle East so if you get to escape for some R&R to the UAE, let me know and I'll buy you a beer!
Stay safe.

I think next time I will double the ganache.
Not sure how they would hold up in shipping.
Hope all the tasty treats are making their was to you.
