I am about to give up on your new site. I am hopeful that it is improved soon, as right now it is difficult to navigate without loads of scrolling.
I am finding it difficult to find the "View New Posts" button.

Yeah, I ran into this one too. its now called View New Content and is in the upper right hand corner, underneath the search.

It's just a change in terminology, and is right up top - no scrolling needed!
It even gives you a choice of two methods to pick from: View all Unread, or View since my Last Visit.

Here is the official SD FAQ on How to Do It including several ways to do the same thing...i.e. "View New Posts" as previously noted now called "View New Content".

If you log in frequently, you can also use the "Today's Active Content" link at the bottom of the Surface Interval page (just above the list of members currently on the site), and look for the dark blue suitcase in front of a thread indicating new posts.
This is how I find threads quickly that have not been posted in since my last login, if I need to create a link in another post or PM. Comes in very handy!
