Hello Merissa,

It looks like I am about a year late in replying to your post, but I have been to the Black Sea. To the city of Sochi, Russia. The water was cold!!! I was there the first part of July. I do plan on going back, most probably to Bulgaria as I have friends there.

Oh, by the way I own a dive center on Cyprus.

I am an American from Denver, Colorado :clapping:

This thread reminded me of a humorous incident related to the Black Sea. A few years ago a woman contacted me via e-mail. She was quite interested in learning more about the Black Sea bass. I gave her some pointers, said I'd try to help them locate one when they came out to Catalina and then asked why she was so interested. She said she and her husband were avid fisherman and wanted to catch one while they were on the Black Sea that summer. I laughed (via e-mail) and told her it was the BLACK sea bass (formerly Jewfish) on my web site, not the BLACK SEA bass!

are they at least angry black sea bass?
OK, lets make a deal. If you stop telling me how to dive, I'll stop going down to the bus station at 2am to slap d***s out of your mouth.

I believe - no doubt someone will correct me - that below the level of the shore of the original freshwater lake the water rapidly becomes anaerobic. And very cold. That's 100'-200' down, though.
